대학 진로체험학점제의 효과 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 진로체험학점제의 확대를 위해 이 제도에 참여한 학생들에게 어떠한 긍정적인 효과가 있는지 확인하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 진로체험학점제를 운영하고 있는 국내 5개 대학의 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 참여학생 과 미참여학생 그룹 간의 진로체험학점제 경험의 효과를 통계적으로 엄밀하게 분석하기 위해서 표본선택편의 문제를 최소화시킬 수 있는 경향점수 매칭을 실시한 후에, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 진로체험학점제에 참여한 학생의 진로결정자기 효능감, 진로준비행동, 진로결정수준, 학교생활만족도가 더 높게 나타났다. 이는 진로체험학점제가 진로 교육적 측면에서 긍정적인 성과를 내고 있음을 드러낸 선행연구결과와 일치한다. 더불어 진로체험학점제가 학생들이 자발적으로 프로젝트를 구 성하게 하고, 상대적으로 졸업을 앞둔 고학년 학생들이 주로 학점제에 참여한다는 점에서 보다 적극적인 진로준비행동으로 이어지고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 본인이 설정한 진로와 직접적으로 관련되거나 탐색하고 싶은 진로와 관련한 프로그램을 스 스로 구성할 수 있는 기회도 제공해 진로결정수준을 높이는 데 기여하는 것으로 볼수 있다. 진로체험학점제를 통한 학생들의 학습 동기 유발은 학교생활 전반에 대한 만족도 상승을 부르나 전공만족도까지는 이어지지 못했다. 이를 바탕으로 대학 진로 체험학점제를 확대하기 위한 몇 가지 방안을 제시하고 후속연구를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to verify the effectiveness of this system to expand the career experience credit system in universities. To do this, we surveyed students of 5 universities running this system and conducted the propensity score matching and regression analysis to minimize sample selection bias for analyzing the effectiveness of participation more strictly to this credit system between the group who participated in this program and the other group who did not. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the career decision-making self-efficacy, career preparation behavior, career decision scale, school satisfaction of participating students are higher than of non-participating students in this program. This result was in line with previous studies that examined the positive effects of this system in a career educational aspect. In addition, it could be seen that the career experience credit system leads to more active career preparation behavior in that students voluntarily construct a project, and relatively high-grade students who are about to be graduated tend to participate in the credit system. It also provided opportunities for students to organize their own career-related programs that are directly related to the career they have set up or want to explore. Inducement of students motivation through the credit system led to an increase in satisfaction in school life but did not lead to major satisfaction. Base on this, we proposed some plans to expand the career experience credit system and suggested a follow-up study.
