개정 누리과정에 대한 유아교사의 메타포 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사들이 개정 누리과정을 어떻게 인식하고 있고 어떠한 의미를 부여하는지를 알아보는데 목적을 두고, 개정 누리과정 고시 직후인 2019년 7월 5주부터 2019년 8월 2주까지 약 3주에 걸쳐 전국 공․사립 유아교사 162명을 대상으로 설문지를 통해 개정 누리과정에 대한 메타포를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 체계적메타포 분석의 6가지 절차에 따라 분석되었다. 연구결과, 유아교사들이 인식하는 개정 누리과정의 메타포 100가지의 경향성은 개정 누리과정의 주요 내용, 시행 과정, 문제점의 측면을 표현하였으며, 그 유형은 놀이 그 자체의 교육과정, 변화와 변혁의 교육과정, 자유를 갖는 교육과정, 불분명한 교육과정, 유아중심의 교육과정, 난관이 예상되는 교육과정, 기본이 되는 교육과정, 정해진 교육과정 등 총 8개로 분류되었 다. 본 연구결과를 통해 연구에 참여한 유아교사들 대부분은 개정 누리과정 시행의 주요 내용에 대하여 잘 알고 있었으며, 개정 누리과정을 시행하는 과정에서 경험하게 될 변화에 대하여 긍정적 또는 부정적으로 예측하고 있었다. 또한 개정 누리과정 의 문제점에 대한 시각이 나타나기도 하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 개정 누리과정의 도입 시기에 유아교사들에게 개정 누리과정이 어떠한 의미로 다가오는지를 검토해 보았으며, 유아교사들이 교육과정의 방향과 내용에 대하여 충분한 이해를 토대로 효 율적인 실행을 할 수 있도록 지원하는데 긍정적인 기여를 할 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine how early childhood teachers perceived the revised Nuri curriculum and what meaning they imparted to it. A survey was conducted on 180 early childhood teachers in public and private preschool institutions across the nation to analyze the metaphors they used to describe the revised Nuri curriculum. The collected data were analyzed according to the six-stage process of systematic metaphor analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: The trend in the 100 metaphors about the Nuri curriculum was analyzed, and the metaphors represented the major content of the curriculum, its implementation process and problems with it. As for the category of the metaphors, they were categorized into eight: a curriculum of play itself, a curriculum of change and revolution, a curriculum characterized by freedom, an indistinct curriculum, a preschooler-centered curriculum, a curriculum being likely to encounter difficulty, a curriculum as the basis, and a fixed curriculum. The findings of the study showed that the majority of the early childhood teachers who participated in this study were well aware of the major content of the revised Nuri curriculum and forecasted that they would experience positive or negative changes during the implementation of the curriculum. In addition, some thought there were problems with the curriculum. In this study, what meaning the revised Nuri curriculum had for the early childhood teachers at the time when it was introduced was reviewed, and this study is expected to make a positive contribution to assisting early childhood teachers in having a full understanding of the direction and content of the curriculum and in putting it into practice in an efficient way.
