대학생의 신체상과 우울 관계에서 자아존중감 및 대인관계유능성의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 신체상과 우울 관계에서 자아존중감과 대인관계유능성의 매개효과를 확인하고자 함이다. 2017년 4월부터 6월까지 J도에 소재하는 대학교에 재학중인 학생을 대상으로 자료수집을 실시하였고, 최종 197명의 자료를 분석 하였다. IBM SPSS Statistics 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, 피어슨 상관관계, 회귀분석과 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 연구결과 대학생의 우울 정도는 17.37점으로 우울 집단에 속한 대상자는 51.3%였다. 대학 생의 신체상은 우울(r=-.33, p<.001)과는 역 상관관계를, 자아존중감(r=.49, p<.001)과 대인관계유능성(r=.39, p<.001)과는 순 상관관계를 나타내었으며, 대인관계유능성과 우울과의 관계(r=-.03, p=.665)는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 대학생의 신체 상과 우울과의 관계에서 자아존중감은 완전매개효과를 나타내었으나, 대인관계유능성은 매개효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 대학생의 자아존중감을 증진시키기 위한 개인과 학교, 지역사회 차원의 프로그램 개발이 필요하며, 대학생의 대인 관계유능성에 대한 추가 연구를 제언한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study were to investigate the mediating effects of self-esteem and interpersonal competence between body image and depression on undergraduate student. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire that was distributed to 197 undergraduate student from April to June 2017. Using the IBM SPSS Statistics program, the collected data were analyzed in descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe s method, Pearson s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study was as follows. The level of depression was 17.37 and 51.3% of them were depressed. The body image showed a statistically significant negative correlation with depression(r=-.33, p<.001), and positive correlation with self-esteem(r=.49, p<.001), interpersonal competence(r=.39, p<.001). Correlation of interpersonal Competence and depression(r=-.03, p=.665) was not statistically significant. Self-esteem was found to have complete mediating effect on the relationship between body image and depression of undergraduate students, but interpersonal Competence showed no mediating effect. Therefore, in order to prevent depression of undergraduate students, it is necessary to develop program in individual, university, and community to improve self-esteem. And suggest further research on interpersonal competence of undergraduate students.
