국문 초록

본 연구는 아동․청소년기 자존감의 다중 변화궤적의 수를 알아보고, 변화궤적이 다른 집단 간에 우울에서 차이가 있는지를 알아보았다. 본 연구는 경기교육종단연구 초4 패널의 초4학년 1차 시점에서 중2학년 5차 시점 까지 5시점의 자료를 사용하였 다. 참가자는 2950명이었다. 다중 변화궤적 분석에는 잠재성장 혼합모델이, 우울의 차이 분석에는 공변량 분석이 사용되었다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구는 자존감이 초기에 높으면서 증가하다 하락하는 패턴, 초기에 보통정도이면서 증가 하다 하락하는 패턴, 초기에 낮으면서 하락하다 상승하는 패턴, 초기에 낮으면서 급하강하다 상승하는 패턴을 보이는 4개의 변화궤적을 확인하였다. 자존감의 변화궤적은 단수가 아닌 복수임을 확인하였다. 둘째, 초기에 자존감이 높으면서 증가하다 하락하는 패턴을 보이는 집단은 다른 집단들에 비해 우울이 유의하게 낮았다.

영문 초록

This study examined the number of multiple trajectories of self-esteem from childhood through adolescents and the mean differences in depression among the groups which show different self-esteem trajectories. This study used five waves of longitudinal dataset from the elementary school 4th grade panel of Kyounggi Education Longitudinal Study. Subjects were the 2850 students. The latent growth mixture model and the one-way analysis of variance were used for data analysis. The major findings were as follows. This study identified four different latent classes, such as initially high and increased, then decreased pattern, initially moderate and increased, then decreased pattern, initially low and decreased, then increased pattern, and initially low and fast decreased, then increased. The students in initially high and increased, then decreased pattern showed lower depression Based on the findings of this study, the researchers suggested practical implications in counseling and education.
