국문 초록

본 연구는 부모의 양육태도를 유형화한 후 양육태도 유형에 따른 자녀의 개인내 적, 학교생활, 지역공동체의식의 차이를 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 한국아동․청소년패널 조사 4차년도(현재 초등학교 4학년 아동) 원자료 중 2,118명을 최종 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 양육태도 유형은 부정적 양육, 긍정적 양육, 소극적 양육, 적극적 양육의 네 개의 유형으로 분류되었다. 둘째, 부모의 양육태도 유형에 따라 자녀의 개인내적(자아탄력성, 사회적 위축, 우울, 삶의 만족도), 학교생활(학교생활적응, 성적), 지역공동체의식(지역사회인식, 공동체 의식) 수준은 차이가 나타났다. 긍정적 양육태도와 적극적 양육태도 유형의 경우 아동의 자아탄력성과 삶의 만족도, 학교생활적응, 성적, 지역사회인식, 공동체의식 수준은 높은 반면 사회적 위축과 우울은 낮았다. 반면 소극적 양육태도는 아동의 자아 탄력성 및 삶의 만족도, 학교생활적응, 성적, 지역사회인식, 공동체의식 수준이 유의 하게 낮은데 비해 사회적 위축과 우울 수준이 높았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to classify parenting attitudes into several distinct types, and to assess the differences in children s individual internal traits, school life, and community consciousness according to the type of parenting attitudes. Data used for this study came from the 4th wave of Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) in which 2,118 subjects were currently fourth graders in elementary schools. The main results of this research were as follows. The type of parenting attitudes was classified into four categories designated as negative, positive, passive, and active. The levels of children s individual internal traits(ego-resiliency, social withdrawal, depression, life satisfaction), school life(school life adjustment, school grades), community consciousness(community awareness, a sense of community) showed significant differences according to the type of parenting attitudes. Besides, with regard to the types of positive and active parenting attitudes, the levels of children s ego-resiliency and life satisfaction, school life adjustment, school grades, community awareness, and a sense of community revealed to be high, whereas those of social withdrawal and depression showed to be low. On the other hand, regarding the type of passive parenting attitudes, the levels of ego-resiliency and life satisfaction, school life adjustment, school grades, community awareness, and a sense of community revealed to be significantly low, while those of social withdrawal and depression showed to significantly be high.
