칠봉서원의 건축적 복원과 활용 프로그램 연구

국문 초록

칠봉서원의 연혁과 소재지는 고문헌을 통해 고증이 가능하며, 칠봉서원 터로 지목된 지점은 최근 진행된 발굴조사를 통해 건물터와 관련된 시설이 다수 확인되었다. 이에 따라 칠봉서원 터를 복원과 활용이라는 두 가지 측면에서 대규모 시설보다는 최소한의 정비가 이루어질 수 있도록 기본계획의 방향성을 제시코자 한다. 이에 따라 칠봉서원 복원은 한옥마을을 포함하여 대규모 교육관 등 시설물 위주로 복원하기보다는 서원 위주로 최소한 복원하되 고증자료를 근거로 하여 복원하여 문화재 지정 및 보존 방안을 마련해야 하며, 활용 프로그램은 서원의 기능인 제향과 인재 육성을 위주로 방안을 모색해야 한다. 배향인물인 원천석과 정종영, 한백겸, 원호에 대한 춘·추계 제향을 비롯한 전통문화 제현과 유교에 대한 사상, 예절 교육 등 인성교육 프로그램을 도입하여 인근 학교 학생들과 원주 시민들에게 지역 출신의 인물과 이들의 철학, 사상에 대한 배움의 기회를 갖도록 하고, 평소 또는 특정기간 개방을 통하여 칠봉서원을 체험 장소로 활용토록 하고, 방문객에게는 배향인물 중심의 다양한 스토리텔링 소재를 제공할 수 있는 프로그램을 마련하여야 한다.

영문 초록

The history and location of Chilbongseowon at Wonju can be confirmed through old literatures. The site identified as initially Chilbongseowon location was confirmed foundation stones of many buildings and facilities related to the its site through the trial digging excavation survey conducted in 2017. This study was proposed the direction of cultural property designation and basic organization plan of to be done the comprehensive and systematic maintenance in two aspects of preservation and utilization of Chilbongseowon site. Therefore, restoration of Chilbongseowon should be at least focused on mainly Seowon rather than facilities such as large-scale education halls including Hanok Village and should be restored on the basis of the historical research records and it should be designated cultural property. The utilization program should look for ways to focus on the religious rite and human resource development. So it is necessary to be introduced the spring and fall religious rite including character education programs about the enshrined characters-Won Cheonseok, Jeong Jongyoung, Han Baekgyeom and Won Ho and is necessary to try to find the various programs including the transmission of traditional culture, Confucian culture idea, etiquette training and humanism for young students in nearby schools through the opening of a regular or specific period. Also it should be used as a place to experience education for Wonju-si citizens and should seek ways to provide diverse storytelling materials focused on canonized persons for visitors.
