국문 초록

사회과학 연구에서 빅데이터 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있으나 빅데이터 연구 방법론에 대한 심층적인 논의는 아직 부족하다. 이에 빅데이터 기반 사회과학 연구방법론의 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 비트겐슈타인의 논리철학논고에 기반하여 빅데이터 연구방법론의 분석 및 해석, 이해에 이르고자 하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 연구방법론 전체 과정에서 패러다임의 전회가 이루어지고 있다. 그 이유는 빅데이터 연구에서는, 연구방법론의 세 축이 되는 자료․분석방법․이론에서 기존의 양적・질적 연구방법론과는 다른 양상의 자료수집, 분석 및 해석방법이 적용되고 있기 때문이다. 둘째, 빅데이터 분석에서 수치와 텍스트 분석 등으로 말해질 수 있는 것들은 보다 분명히 말해져야 하며, 그 밖에 드러내어져야 하는 것들에 대해 메타포 등을 비롯한 다양한 예술적 방법을 통해 드러낼 수 있는 신중함이 있어야 한다. 빅데이터 연구방법론에서 또한 실증적으로 말해 질수 있는 수치와 관계성은 보다 명증하게 논리적으로 말해져야 하고 그 밖에 행간의 의미와 인과성, 현상에 숨어 있는 함의에 대해서는 그 자체를 예술적 방법 등으로 드러내려는 노력이 필요하다. 마지막으로, 사회과학에서의 빅데이터 연구방법론은 융복합적 접근에 기반하여 기존의 연구와 다른 연구접근을 통해 지속적 확장과 순환으로 고유한 영역으로 나아가는 연구방법으로서의 빅데이터 연구가 연속되어져야 하겠다.

영문 초록

Although big data research is actively conducted in social science research, in-depth discussions on big data research methodology are still insufficient. To provide basic data for Big Data-based social science research methodology, this study tried to analyze, interpret and understand Big Data research methodology based on Wittgenstein s logic philosophy. As a result, first, the paradigm is being changed in the whole process of research methodology. The reason for this is that in the big data research, data collection, analysis and interpretation methods are applied in the three axes of research methodology, which are different from the existing quantitative and qualitative research methodology. Second, what can be said through numerical and text analysis in big data analysis should be more clearly stated, and there should be a prudentness to be revealed through various artistic methods including metaphors for other things to be revealed. In the Big Data research methodology, the numerical value and relation that can be empirically stated should be more clearly stated logically, and other efforts to reveal the meaning of lines, causality, and implications hidden in phenomena as artistic methods are needed. Finally, Big Data research methodology in social sciences should be based on the fusion approach and the study of Big Data as a unique research method that goes to the unique area through continuous expansion and circulation through other research approaches.
