행복과 낙관성이 신뢰와 삶의 의미에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구는 행복과 낙관성이 신뢰와 삶의 의미에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 행복과 낙관성은 불행하고 불안정하며 희망이 없는 현재를 살고 있는 우리 모두에게 필요한 요소이다. 이 연구에서 제안하는 연구모형은 행복과 낙관성이 신뢰를 회복하고 삶의 의미를 부여하게 만든다는 것이다. 대전/충남/세종에 거주하는 10대에서 60대까지 511명을 대상으로 행복, 낙관성, 신뢰, 및 삶의 의미 척도를 포함한 질문지로 구성하여 자료 수집을 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SAS 9.4를 이용하였고 사용된 척도의 타당도와 신뢰도를 확인했으며, 행복과 낙관성에 따른 신뢰와 삶의 의미의 차이를 이원분산분석을 통하여 검토하였다. 연구결과에 의하면, 첫째, 사용된 척도의 타당도와 신뢰도가 우수하였다. 둘째, 행복한 사람들이 그렇지 않은 사람들보다 신뢰수준이 더 높았다. 셋째, 낙관성이 높은 사람들이 낙관성이 낮은 사람들보다 신뢰수준이 더 높았다. 넷째, 신뢰에 대한 행복과 낙관성의 상호작용효과가 나타났다. 다섯째, 행복한 사람들이 그렇지 않은 사람들보다 삶에 더 많은 의미를 부여하였다. 여섯째, 낙관성이 높은 사람들이 낙관성이 낮은 사람들보다 삶에 더 많은 의미를 부여하였다. 마지막으로, 삶의 의미에 대한 행복과 낙관성의 상호작용효과가 나타났다. 이런 연구결과는 행복과 낙관성을 높이는 것이 신뢰를 제고하고 삶의 의미를 더 부여하는 효과적인 방안임을 보여주는 것이다. 이번 연구의 끝으로 앞으로의 연구방향과 제한점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The study aims to explore the impact of happiness and optimism on trust and the meaning of life. Happiness and optimism are necessary factors for all of us living in a unhappy, unstable and hopeless present. The study s proposed model is that happiness and optimism can restore trust and give meaning to life. 511 people from their teens to 60s living in Daejeon/Chungnam/Sejong were asked to collect data, consisting of questionnaires including happiness, optimism, trust, and measures of meaning in life. The collected data were used in SAS 9.4, verified the validity and reliability of the measures used, and reviewed through a bifurcation analysis the differences in confidence and meaning of life depending on happiness and optimism. According to the results of the study, firstly, the validity and reliability of the measures used were excellent. Second, happy people had a higher level of trust than people who did not. Third, those with high optimism had higher levels of trust than those with lower optimism. Fourth, the interaction effect of happiness and optimism on trust appeared. Fifth, happy people gave more meaning to life than people who did not. Sixth, people with high optimism attached more meaning to life than people with low optimism. Finally, there was an interaction effect of happiness and optimism about the meaning of life. These findings show that enhancing happiness and optimism is an effective way to enhance trust and give more meaning to life. At the end of this study, we discussed future research directions and limitations.
