국문 초록

본 연구는 우리나라 초등교육 본래의 목표를 달성하기 위하여 교육이 이루어지는 교육공간의 형식에 대한 새로운 대안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 계획개념은 해석수준이론의 공간적 거리 개념과 인지적 접근법이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 우리나라 초등교육의 역사와 특성, 그리고 그 개선방안을 고찰하였고 현재 교육과정의 기반인 열린교육 이론을 분석하였다. 또한 열린교육을 위한 교육공간계획에 적용 가능한 건축계획요소를 인지적 접근법과 해석수준이론을 개념화하여 추출하였으며 이를 열린교육 초등학교 계획안으로 구체화하여 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 계획의 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습자 중심의 교육방식인 열린교육의 개념을 수용할 수 있는 교육공간계획을 위하여 해석수준이론의 공간개념을 계획에 적용할 것을 제안한다. 둘째, 학습자의 신체적, 정서적 차이에 유연하게 대응할 수 있는 기본 단위모듈과 그 조합에 의하여 구성되는 교육 클러스터를 제안한다. 셋째, 기본 단위모듈의 조합에 의하여 형성되는 클러스터의 규모를 해석수준이론의 공간적 거리개념을 적용하여 계획함으로써 열린교육을 위한 교육공간계획에서 가장 중요한 다양성, 유연성, 자율성을 확보하고 학습자 중심의 교육에 적합한 교육환경을 제공한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to propose a new alternative to educational space to achieve the goal of primary education. The planning concepts proposed in this study are the spatial distance concept and the cognitive approach of the analytical level theory. For this purpose, this study examined the history and characteristics of elementary education in Korea and analyzed the theory of open education as the basis of the current curriculum. Also, the architectural planning elements applicable to educational space planning for open education were extracted by conceptualizing the cognitive approach and analytical level theory and proposed as an open education elementary school plan. The contents of the plan proposed in this study are as follows. First, it is proposed to apply the spatial concept of analytical level theory to the plan for the educational space plan that can accommodate the concept of open education. Second, it is proposed an education cluster composed of basic unit modules and combinations that can flexibly cope with the physical and emotional differences of learners. Third, it is proposed the cluster formed by the combination of basic unit modules planned by applying the spatial distance concept of the analytical level theory.
