과학과 역량 및 기능 체계화 방안에 대한 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 2015 개정 교육과정에서 과학 교과의 역량과 기능에 대한 이슈를 정리하고 현재 교육과정이 가진 문제점을 해소하기 위한 방안을 도출하기 위해 수행되었다. 방법 이를 위하여 2015 개정 교육과정 전후로 수행된 각종 정책과제와 논문을 분석하고, 전문가 자문회를 통해 개선방안을 논의하였다. 결과 교과역량과 관련된 이슈로는 핵심역량과 교과역량과의 개념적 연계성, 각 교과역량에 대한 수준과 하위 요소에 대한 이해 차이의 문제가 제기되었다. 과학과 기능에 관련된 이슈에는 기능에 대한 정의의 불명료성, 기능의 학년 또는 학교급별 체계화 필요성, 성취기준에서 기능과 서술어 관계 명료성 문제에 대해 논의하였다. 결론 이러한 이슈를 기반으로 본 연구에서는 역량과 기능 방식에 대해 변화의 폭에 따라 과학과 교과역량과 기능을 좁은 범위 또는 넓은 범위의 구분 방식을 통해 연결시키는 방안, 현재의 교과역량은 유지한 상태에서 기능을 각 교과역량의 하위요소에 위치하고, 학년군 또는 학교급 수준에서 수준을 재정의하는 방안, 과학 교과의 역량을 새롭게 정의하고, 역량의 하위요소로 기능을 재편하는 세 가지 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was carried out to organize the issues of competencies and skills of science subject in the 2015 revised curriculum and to derive a plan to solve the problems of the current curriculum. Methods To this end, various policy task researches and journal researches carried out before and after the 2015 revised curriculum were analyzed, and the solutions were discussed through expert advisory meetings. Results As issues related to subject competencies, the conceptual connection between core competencies and subject competencies, and differences in understanding of the level and sub-elements of each subject competencies were raised. As issues related to science subject skill, the unclear definition of skill, the need for systematization by grade or school level of skill, and the clarity of the relationship between skill and predicate in the achievement standard were discussed. Conclusions Based on these issues, we proposed three kinds of solution according to the range of changes in competency: 1) to connect science subject competency and skill a narrow or wide division method, 2) while maintaining current subject competence, to located in the sub-elements of each subject competency, redefining the level at the grade level or school level, 3) re-defining the competency of science subjects, and reorganizing the skills as sub-elements of competency.
