국문 초록

이 논문은 4·19혁명의 기폭제 역할을 했던 대전 3·8민주의거를 당시 참여자들의 기억을 소환하여 시간대별로 재구성한 것이다. 이 연구에서는 하나의 역사적 사건을 구술이라는 또 다른비공식적 판본, 즉 서사적 텍스트로 구성한 후, 분석하여 논의의 자료로 활용하였다. 이는 사회과학과 인문학문과의 융합을 통한 보다 진일보한 지역학 연구라고 판단된다. 연구의 기본 자료는2019년 (사)3·8민주의거기념사업회에서 구술·채록 및 디지털 아카이브 작업으로 구축한 3·8증언록 『3·8민주의거는 끝나지 않았다』이며, 여기에 학술적 입증을 위해 당시 신문 보도 자료와관련된 출간 서적 등을 참고로 제시하였다. 3·8민주의거는 1960년 3월 8일과 10일 이틀에 걸쳐자유당 독재정권에 대항하여 대전지역 고등학생들이 주체가 되어 일어난 민주화 운동이다. 그러나 3·8민주의거는 대구 2·28민주운동, 마산 3·15의거와 그 맥을 같이 함에도 아직 학술적 접근이 미미하고, 특히 참여자들의 증언을 바탕으로 전개과정을 시간대별로 나누어 기술한 연구는전무하다. 이에 이 논문은 대전 3·8민주의거 당일은 물론, 의거 전후의 전개과정을 24명의 구술과 실증적 자료를 중심으로 세밀하게 재구성하였다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 또한 대전고, 대전상고 두 학교를 중심으로 일어난 것으로 알려진 3·8민주의거가 대전상고, 보문고, 대전공고, 대전여고, 대전사범 등 당시 대전소재 고등학교 학생들이 자발적이고 능동적으로 참여한 사실을증언록을 통하여 확인한 것도 3·8민주의거의 재조명이며, 논문의 가치라 하겠다.

영문 초록

aejeon, which served as a catalyst for the 4·19 Revolution, by recalling the memories of participants at the time. The point of attention in the study is to organize and analyze one historical event into another informal version of oral, that is, narrative text, and use it as a material for discussion. This can be recognized as a fusion of social sciences and humanities, and is regarded as an advanced regional study. The data used in this study is the 3·8 testimony “The 3·8 Democracy Movement is not over”, which was established by the 3·8 Democratic Movement Commemoration Project in 2019 through oral records and digital archives. The 3·8 Democratic Movement was a democratization movement that took place on March 8 and 10, 1960, with high school students in the Daejeon region as the main bodies against the Liberal Party dictatorship. However, despite the fact that the 3·8 Democracy Movement is in line with the Daegu 2·28 Democratic Movement and Masan 3·15, no research has been conducted on a time-based basis, especially based on testimonies from participants. In this context, this study is meaningful in that it reorganized the March 8 Democratic Residence in Daejeon in detail, focusing on memories of the post-war period as well as the day based on the oral statements of 24 people. Therefore, this thesis can be found meaningful in that the development process before and after the March 8 Democratic Movement in Daejeon was reorganized in detail, centering on oral and factual data from 24 people.Another contribution of this study is to confirm through the testimony that voluntary and active participation of high school students in Daejeon, including Daejeon High School, Bomun High School, Daejeon Technical High School, Daejeon girl’s High School and Daejeon Normal School.
