미취학 자녀를 둔 모자원 거주 한부모 여성의 양육스트레스에 대한 질적 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 모자원에 거주하는 미취학 자녀를 둔 한부모 여성의 양육 스트레스 요인을 파악하고 적절한 개입방향을 찾는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 모자원에 거주하는 미취학 자녀를 둔 한부모 여성 두 명을 관찰하고 심층 면접하였으며 현상학적 관점에서 양육스트레스와 관련한 구체적인 고충을 알아보았다. 분석 결과, 추출된 의미 있는 진술은 213개, 구성된 의미는 73개, 15개의 주제, 5개의 범주로 분류하였다. 최종적으로 개념화한 범주는 <혼자 부모가 된 것에 대한 부담>, <자녀와 보내는 시간의 제약>, <앞으로 일어날 일에 대한 불안>, <타인의 시선에 대한 불편감>, <정서적 어려움> 5개로 도출되었다. 본 연구 결과, 모자원에 거주하는 미취학 아동을 둔 한부모 여성은 양육스트레스와 관련하여 혼자 부모가 된 것에 대해 부담감을 갖고, 타인의 시선에 대해 염려한다. 자녀가 학교생활을 잘하며 적응을 잘할 수 있을지, 생계를 잘 이어갈 수 있을지에 대한 불안을 호소한다. 정확하게 제시되는 양육에 대한 정보 없이 오로지 혼자서 자녀의 생활 지도를 감당하고 시간을 보내야 한다는 것이 양육 스트레스의 내용으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine factors related to parenting stress of single mothers with a preschool-aged child in child facilities for mother and child protection as well as to find proper interventions. Single mothers with a Preschool-aged Child in Child Facilities for Mother and Child Protection were interviewed to describe specific difficulties related to parenting stress. The qualitative case study extracted 213 significant statements that were grouped into 73 formulated meanings, and 15 themes. Finally, the five categories that affect parenting stress were derived as follows: [The burden of being a single parent], [Constraints on time with the child], [Anticipatory anxiety], [Discomfort about the perception of others], and [Emotional difficulties]. Single mothers in this situation are worried about being a single parent and concerned about how others will perceive them, which are factors that are related to parenting stress. In addition, they are anxious about whether their children will be able to adapt well to school or make their own living in the future. It appears that the idea of spending time with their child and taking care of them alone, without any information about parenting, increases parenting stress.
