‘미래교육’에 대한 비판적 담론 분석: 4차 산업혁명 시대의 교육에 관한 신문 담론을 중심으로

국문 초록

2016년 이후 미래교육에 대한 논의를 위해 어김없이 등장하는 키워드는 ‘4차산업 혁명’이라 할 수 있으며 이는 비단 교육을 넘어서 사회 전반적인 관심사라는 점에서현 시점, 미래교육이 의미하는 양상이 무엇인지 고민해 볼 필요가 있다. 이에 대표적인 대중매체라 할 수 있는 신문담론을 중심으로 2016년 다보스포럼 이후 2년여의 기간 동안 보도된 미래교육 기사에 대한 비판적 담론분석을 실시하였다. 이에 4차산업 혁명의 시대를 향한 교육적 논의는 텍스트적 실천에서 주로 현재교육과의 대비 및인재역량의 강조에 집중하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 담론적 실천에서는 텍스 트적 실천의 보도 내용을 사회적 실천으로 이끌기 위해 다양한 형태의 동의구하기가 이루어지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 사회적 실천의 단계에서는 신자유 주의라는 거대 담론과 관련하여 4차산업혁명 시대의 미래교육에 대한 논의가 거듭 재생되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이어 이러한 담론분석의 결과에 대한 각각의 시사점을 논하였으며 미래교육을 제대로 된 사회적 실천으로 이끌기 위한 교육철학의 필요성 등에 대해 제안하였다. 미래교육에 대한 제대로 된 방향을 언급하고 구체적 필요 요소를 제안할 수 있는 교육전문가의 목소리와 대중담론의 역할, 교육활동에 참여하는 교육적 주체의 실천력이 조화를 이룰 때 올바른 방향 탐색이 가능할 것이며 이는 제대로 된 사회적 실천으로 이어질 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Especially after 2016, words ‘fourth generation industrial revolution’ consistently appeared whenever there were discussions about future education. However, these words are nearly impossible to define its true meaning and interests of ‘fourth generation industrial revolution’ are not only limited to educational field but have become social interest as a whole. Therefore, it is worth to further study on aspects of future education. After the Davos Forum 2016, for 2 years, I’ve been focusing on newspaper discourses which are considered as public mass media and conducted critical discourse analysis on newspaper articles related with future education. Thus, it is identified that educational discussions toward the fourth industrial revolution era are primarily focusing on the contrast of current education and emphasis on human resource capability in an aspect of textual practice. In addition, in a view of discourse practice, different types of consent seeking efforts have been identified in order to convert textual practice to social practice. Lastly, in the phase of social practice, metadiscourse known as neo-liberalism is consistently being discussed in fourth generation revolution era of future education. Everyone experiences educational activities throughout their life time and in that sense, interests in future education can be viewed as public characteristic and discourse such as newspaper discourse can have important meanings. Therefore, presenting rightful directions and recommending specific requirements from educational experts, reviewing roles of public discourses, and practicability of educational entity that participating in educational activities are critical factors of education. It would be possible to seek out rightful paths of future educations only when all those factors mentioned above are in harmony.
