국문 초록

본 연구는 교양교육에서 대학생들의 수강신청기준을 알아보고, 학습자 특성에 따른 차이를 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2019년 3월에 4년제 대학생 102명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고 기술통계분석을 실시하였으며, 학년별, 성별, 계열별 차이를 검증 하기 위하여 독립표본 t 검정을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생 들은 수강신청시 학점 취득 용이성을 가장 중시하였으며, 특히 학습 부담이 적고 팀프로젝트가 없는 과목을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 저학년은 강의자특성, 고학년은 학점 취득 용이성을 가장 크게 고려하였으며, ‘성적평가기준이 객관적이고 투명함’ 항목은 학년의 차이가 통계적으로 유의하였다. 셋째, 남학생은 강의자 특성, 여학생은 학점 취득 용이성을 가장 크게 고려하였으며, ‘팀프로젝트 없음’, ‘학습 부담이 적음’ 항목이 성별의 차이가 통계적으로 유의하였다. 넷째, 인문사회계열 학생 들은 학점 취득 용이성, 자연과학계열 학생들은 강의자 특성을 가장 크게 고려하였 다. 본 연구는 대학 교양교육에서 학생들의 수강신청기준에 관해 알아보고, 학습자 특성에 따른 차이를 규명하여, 대학 교양교육에 관한 이해를 확장시켰다는 점에서 시사점을 얻을 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the course enrollment standard of university students in general education and to identify the differences according to the characteristics of the learners. To do this, we surveyed 102 students from March, 2019, and conducted independent sample t-test to verify grade, gender and major differences. First, students regarded ease of credit acquisition as the most important. Particularly, student preferred subjects with less learning burden and no team project. Second, the characteristic of instructor was the most important factor in the lower grade students, and the ease of credit acquisition was the most important factor in senior students. The difference between grades was statistically significant in the items of objective and transparent grading standard. Third, the characteristics of learners was the most important factor in boys and the ease of credit acquisition was the most important factor in girls. The difference between gender was statistically significant in the items of no team project and less learning burden. Forth, ease of credit was the most important factor in humanities and social science student, and characteristic of instructor was the most important factor in department of natural science student. This study have implications for understanding about course enrollment standard in general education and identify the difference according to learner characteristics, thereby expanding the understanding of university general education.
