전문대학생의 전공학과 만족도, 진로장벽, 학업지속의향과의 관계: 진로동기의 매개효과를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 전문대학생의 학업지속의향에 영향을 미치는 전공학과 만족도, 진로장 벽, 진로동기간의 구조적 관계와 진로동기의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 J지역 소재 C전문대학교 재학생을 대상으로 2018년 5월 18일부터 5월 30일까지 자료를 수집하여, 434명의 데이터로 변인들간의 구조적 관계와 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 AMOS 20을 사용하여 구조모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 전공학과 만족 도는 진로동기에 유의미한 정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 학업지속의향에도 직접적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 진로장벽은 진로동기에 유의미한 부적인 영향을 주고 학업지속의향에도 직접적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 진로동기는 학업지속의향에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전공 학과 만족도는 진로동기를 거쳐 학업지속의향에 간접효과가 유의미하지 않아 매개효 과가 입증되지 않았다. 셋째, 진로장벽은 진로동기를 거쳐 학업지속의향에 간접효과가 유의미하지 않아 매개효과가 입증되지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 전문 대학생의 학업지속의향을 높이기 위해 재학생의 전공학과의 만족도와 진로장벽을 다룰 수 있는 학과적응프로그램과 진로프로그램에 대한 방안을 논의하고 후속 연구를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of career motivation on the link between major satisfaction and academic persistence intention and the link between career barriers and academic persistence intention of college students. For this purpose, data were collected from May 18, 2018 to May 30, 2018 for the students of C college in J area. Using the data of 434, AMOS 25 was used to verify the structural relations and mediating effects among variables. The structural model was verified. The results of this study are as follows: First, major satisfaction has significant direct effects both on career motivation and on academic persistence intention. Career barrier has negative impacts both on career motivation and on academic persistence intention. However, career motivation has no significant effects on academic persistence intention. Second, career motivation dose not mediate the link between major satisfaction and academic persistence intention. Third, career motivation does not mediate the link between career barrier and academic persistence intention. Based on the results of the present study, it was suggested to improve the major satisfaction by providing academic adaptation programs. In addition, it also was suggested to deal with career barriers by providing career programs. Implications for future research, counseling, and education are discussed.
