과학중점학교 관련 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 과학중점학교 관련 연구 동향을 탐색하여 그에 따른 시사점을 얻는 데 있다. 연구목적에 따라, 2018년 9월부터 2019년 1월까지 과학중점학교 관련 주제어를 검색하여 자료를 수집하였다. 2010년부터 2018년까지 국내 과학중점학교 관련 연구 논문 총 31편(학위논문 17편, 학술지논문 14편)을 대상으로 연도, 유형(학 위논문, 학술지논문), 주제(과학중점교육과정 편성과 운영, 비교과 체험활동, 정의적 영역, 과학 교과, 수학 교과, 과학교사, 진로, 시설과 환경), 그리고 연구 방법(양적연 구, 질적연구, 혼합연구, 문헌연구)을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 과학중점학교 관련 연구는 2010년 학술지논문을 시작으로 해마다 약 3.4편 이상 꾸준히 발표되었다. 주제 별로 살펴보면, 과학중점교육과정의 편성·운영 11편(27.5%), 정의적 영역 7편 (17.5%), 비교과 체험활동 5편(12.5%), 과학 교과 5편(12.5%), 수학 교과 4편(10.0%), 과학 담당교사 4편(10.0%), 진로 3편(7.5%), 시설과 환경 1편(2.5%)으로 과학중점교 육과정 운영연구가 압도적으로 많이 수행되는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 연구방법은 양적 연구가 17편(54.8%)으로 널리 사용되고 있으며, 문헌연구와 양적연구에 기반한 혼합연구도 자주 사용되고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구는 과학중점학교 운영의 중요성과 발전에 대한 이해를 넓히고 향후, 과학중점학교 관련 연구의 발전을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore research trends related to science core school and to find implications for them. Based on the purpose of the study, the data were collected by searching key words related to science core school from September 2018 to January 2019. 31 research theses (17 dissertations, 14 academic journals) on domestic science core school from 2010 to 2018, were analyzed by year, type (thesis, journal), theme (organization and management of science-focused curriculum, extra-curricula hands-on experience activity, affective domain, science curriculum, mathematics curriculum, career course, facilities and environment), and research method (quantitative research, qualitative research, mixed research, and literature research). The result of this study showed that more than 3.4 research papers on science core school have been published steadily annually since the journals in 2010. In terms of the themes, “the organization and management of science-focused curriculum” is the most commonly used theme: it has been used in 11(27.5%) research papers; affective domain in 7(17.5%); extra-curricula hands-on experience activity and science curriculum in 5(12.5%) respectively; mathematics curriculum and four science teachers in 4(10.0%) respectively; career course in 3(7.5%); facilities and environment in 1(2.5%). Regarding to research methods, this study found that quantitative research is widely used in 17 papers (54.8%) and mixed research based on literature study and quantitative research is frequently used. This study can play a meaningful role in that it allows us to extend the understanding of the importance and development of science core school and to utilize it as the basic data for the development of researches on science core school in the future.
