고대한국사회에서의 다문화 사례 및 유형 -｢삼국사기｣·｢삼국유사｣를 중심으로-

국문 초록

외국인 300만 시대의 한국은 고정 관념으로 인하여 타문화에 대한 배제, 외국인에 대한 편견, 다문화에 대한 두려움이 결국에는 다문화에 대한 부정적인 인식으로 전환되고, 자국민들의 다문화 수용성이 여전히 낮은 실정이다. 다문화 수용성을 향상 시키기 위하여 고정 관념을 타파하고 다문화에 대한 부정적 인식을 먼저 개선하여야 한다. 고대국가 대부분은 전쟁과 집단 이주, 무역·문화 교류 등으로 인하여 민족적 융합이 빈번하였으며 이는 전 세계적으로 존재하고 있는 보편적 특징이라 할 수도 있다. 한국 또한 그럴 것이라 가정하여 오늘날의 다문화의 시각으로 한국 고대 사회를 되돌아보고자, 연구자는 2018년 3월부터 12월까지 한국 고대사회 삼국사의 실상을 파악할 수 있는 삼국사기 및 삼국유사 를 중심으로 고대한국사회에서의 이주 민·귀화인 사례를 수집하여 통계하고, 반복적 비교분석법으로 이주 유형을 분석해 보았다. 최종적으로 택한 57사례를 분석한 결과, 첫째, 고대사회에서 이미 ‘난민 이주 유형’, ‘종교 전파 이주 유형’, ‘거주 이주 유형’, ‘결혼 이주 유형’ 및 ‘기타 이주 유형’ 등의 이주민 집단이 있었으며, 오늘날의 한국에서 체류하고 있는 이주민 집단과 매우 유사하다. 둘째, 이주민과 타문화의 유입은 고대 한국 사회의 발전, 기술의 진보, 문화의 번영, 국가의 안전 등 여러 측면에서 긍정적인 영향을 끼쳤다. 한국은 다문화 국가로서 다문화 시대, 세계화 시대에서 한 발 더 발전하려면 체계적이고 지속적인 다문화 인식 개선을 위한 다문화 연구 및 다문화 교육은 불가피한 것이다. 이 연구가 한국 다문화 현상 연구 및 다문화 교육에 활용되는 기초자료가 될 수 있기를 기대한 다. 더 나아가 자국민의 고정 관념을 타파하고, 다문화 인식을 개선하여 한국민의 다문화 수용성을 증진시킬 수 있기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

In South Korea, the foreign population will soon reach 3 million. Most experts and scholars share the view that South Korea is gradually entering the cultural society. However, Korean citizens multi-cultural tolerance is still very low. Rejection of other cultures, prejudice against foreigners and fear of multiculturalism resulted in a negative perception of multiculturalism. To improve the acceptability of multiculturalism, we should break with stereotypes and improve the negative perception of multiculturalism first. Most of the ancient countries had frequent ethnic fusion due to wars, mass migration, trade and cultural exchanges. This is a universal feature that exists all over the world.This study reviews that ancient Korean society at the perspective of today s multicultural perspective. After a statistical analysis of the immigrants and other cultural examples in the Samguksagi and Samgukyusa by the constant comparison method from March to December 2018, it is found that, firstly, ancient society has already seen the emergence of “refugee migration type”, “culture diffusion migration type”, “residence migration type”, “marriage migration type” “other migration type” and so on. Secondly, the influx of immigrants and other cultures has played a positive role in the development of ancient Korean society, technological progress, cultural prosperity, national security and other aspects. As a multicultural country, if South Korea wants to further develop in the multicultural era and the globalized era, it will inevitably carry out systematic and sustained multicultural research and multicultural education on the improvement of multi-cultural understanding. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for multicultural social phenomena and multicultural education in Korea to change stereotypes of their own citizens, thus, improve multicultural awareness and raise the level of multicultural acceptability in the future.
