융복합적 수학수업에서 나타난 PCK 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 선행연구 고찰을 통해 융복합교육을 위한 교사의 PCK 개념틀을 구성하여 재개념화하고 이를 바탕으로 학교 현장에서 이루어진 두 교사의 융복합적 수학수업 맥락에서 등장하는 PCK를 분석함으로써 향후 융복합수업 역량 함양을 위한 교사교육 방안에 대한 시사점을 논의하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 2013학년도 융합인재교육 연구학교 사업에 참여하며 연구자와 협력관계 속에서 융복합수업을 실행하였던 두 수학교사의 융복합수업을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 두 수학교사는 융복합수업에서 수학 개념과 타교과 개념 사이의 관련성, 타교과 개념에 대한 이해와 다양한 표현, 타교과 지식 사이의 내적 연결성에 대한 지식, 타교과의 교육과정 조직에 대한 지식, 타교과 개념이 포함된 실생활 관련 지식이 등장하는 반면 이러한 교육과정 지식을 학생의 자율성과 다양성을 촉진하며 융복합적 역량 함양에 기여하는 방식으로 지도하는 교수 방법 지식과 학습자에 대한 지식이 덜 발달된 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 융복합교육 PCK의 함양을 위하여 교원양성교육과정이 우선 융복합적으로 재조직화될 필요가 있음을 시사한다. 또한 융복합교육에 대한 교사의 실천적 전문성을 개발하기 위하여 융복합교육에 대한 다양한 전문성을 경험할 수 있는 기회를 체계적으로 제공하고 다양한 전문성을 수업을 위한 최적의 역량으로 재구성할 수 있는 교사의 자율성을 존중하는 학교 문화의 형성이 요구된다.

영문 초록

In this research, we reconceptualized PCK for Yungbokhap education (Y-PCK) based on the literature of PCK. Then, we applied the frame of the reconceptulaized PCK to investigate the PCK of two mathematics teachers who practiced Yungbokhap instruction in middle school mathematics school The analysis revealed the characteristics of the teachers PCK and the need of teacher education reform. Specifically, the teachers possessed knowledge of content and curriculum which was more developed than knowledge of content for teaching and the knowledge of student for teaching. Teacher education programs need to provide opportunity to enhance teachers knowledge of real world contents for curriculum integration and of how to approach curriculum integration systematically. More importantly, it is necessary to extend teachers conception of Yungbokhap education beyond integration of subject matters. This reconceptualization is particularly important when considering that teachers PCK is deeply embedded within their conception of Yungbokhap education. This results of this research suggests that university teacher education curricula need to be reorganized in a way consistent with Yungbokhap education. In addition, teacher educators should provide a variety of opportunity to exploit distributive expertise for teacher learning in order to develop practical competence for Yungbokhap education. In the regard, it is necessary to promote teachers autonomy for effective implementation of Yungbokhap education.
