진로교육에 대한 대학생의 교육요구도 분석

국문 초록

중고등학교의 교육과정에 자유학기제를 도입하는 등 진로교육이 강화됨에 따라 자기이해 및 진로탐색 등으로 구성된 대학 저학년을 위한 진로교과목에 변화가 필요한 시점이다. 본 연구에서는 대학 진로교과목 내용에 대한 대학생의 교육요구도를 확인하고 교육과정 재구성을 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2015년 10월 1달간 국내 D대학교의 학습자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 성실하게 응답 한 362명의 데이터를 바탕으로 교육요구도를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대부분 진로교육의 필요도를 인식(M=3.98, SD=.62)하고 있지만 현재 수행수준은 보통이라고 인식하고 있어(M=3.23, SD=.56) 진로교육의 교육요구를 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, IPA분석에 따른 교육요구의 우선순위가 높은 진로개발역량 요인은 경력개발 역량과 진로정보탐색 역량 및 효과적인 대인관계 형성 역량이었다. 셋째, Borich 계수에 의한 교육요구의 우선순위가 높은 진로개발역량의 하위 요인은 취업 기술 준비 방법 습득, 비교과 활동 계획, 지원시스템 활용, 직업전환능력 파악, 대학 이후 학습 계획, 직업세계 정보 수집, 구직활동 방법 이해, 직업유지능력 개발, 진로 장애 대처, 장단기계획 수립 등이었다. 이러한 연구결과는 대학의 진로교과목의 내용 변화를 위한 기본 방향을 제시하고, 나아가 대학 진로교육이 중등교육의 진로교육과 연계성을 가지면서도 차별화하기 위한 방안에 대한 연구가 확산되는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to examine college students educational needs for the content of college career subjects and provide implications for curricular reorganization. For those purposes, the investigators conducted a survey in October 2015(one month) with students at D University and performed IPA and Borich analysis with the data of 362 students that filled out the questionnaire sincerely to analyze their educational needs. The findings were as follows: first, most of the students recognized a need for career education(M=3.98, SD=.62), but they said the level of current career education was average(M=3.23, SD=.56), which indicates that they had educational needs for career education. Secondly, the factors of career development capabilities that recorded a high priority of educational needs according to the IPA analysis results include career management capabilities, career information search capabilities, and capabilities to establish effective interpersonal relations. Finally, the subfactors of career development capabilities that recorded a high priority of educational needs according to the Borich coefficients include learning how to prepare employment skills, making plans for extracurricular activities, making use of support systems, figuring out one s abilities of vocational conversion, making learning plans after graduation from college, collecting information about the occupational world, understanding the methods of job-seeking activities, developing the abilities to keep a job, reacting to career obstacles, and making short and long-term plans. Those findings will hopefully propose basic directions for the content changes of career education subjects at college and contribute to the spread of researches on approaches for college career education to have connections with career education in secondary education and differentiate itself from others.
