간호학 실습교육에서 가상현실(VR) 프로그램을 활용한 국내 연구 현황 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 간호 실습교육에서 간호대학생을 대상으로 한 가상현실(VR) 교육 프로그램에 관한 국내 연구 현황과 효과를 확인하고 향후 연구방향을 제시하고자 시도되었다. 방법 문헌검색은 국내 6개의 데이터베이스(한국교육학술정보원, DPpia, KISS, KMbase, NDSL, 학술논문검색서비스 e-article)에서 이루어졌다. 논문이 발표된 시기는 제한하지 않았으며 연구대상이 되는 주요어인 가상현실(VR), 간호를 통해 검색된 논문 248편 중에서 선정기준에 적합한 25편을 대상으로 분석하였다. 결과 총 25편의 문헌 중 24편은 2020년 이후 출간되었으며, 단일군 사전사후 설계가 13편, 비동등성 대조군 전후 설계가 10편, 비동등성 대조군 사후설계 1편, 무작위 대조군 전후 설계가 1편이었다. VR 프로그램 교육내용은 실습교과목의 종류에 따라 매우 다양하였으며, VR 프로그램 적용 효과는 자기효능감, 임상간호술 수행능력, 수행자신감, 비판적 사고 문제해결 능력, 지식 상승에 어느 정도 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구는 국내 간호학 실습교육에서 가상현실 교육 현황 및 효과 등을 종합적으로 확인하고 후속 연구의 방향을 제시한 점에서 의의가 있다. 코로나-19로 인해 VR 교육프로그램을 활용한 비대면 교육이 확장되었고 포스트 코로나 이후에도 제한된 실습교육 환경의 대안적 교수법으로 정착될 수 있다. 그러나 무작위 대조군 설계의 연구, 국내 간호교육 상황에 맞는 VR 프로그램 개발 등 높은 수준의 근거기반 교육 중재를 위한 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was attempted to confirm the current status and effects of Korean research on virtual reality (VR) education programs for nursing students in nursing practice education and to suggest future research directions. Methods We searched the KERIS, DBpia, KISS, KMbase, NDSL and e-search databases using key words regardless of the period of publication. Among 248 searched papers, we selected 25 papers after excluding literature that does not satisfy the selection criteria. Results Of 25 papers, 24 have been published since 2020. There were 13 one-group pretest-posttest design, 10 non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design, 1 non-equivalent control group posttest design, 1 randomized control-group pre-post test design. The VR education program varied depending on the type of practical subject, and the effect of VR education program was found to have some effect on self-efficacy, clinical nursing performance, performance confidence, critical thingking problem-solving ability, and knowledge increase. Conclusions This study comprehensively confirmed the current status and effectiveness of VR education program for nursing students. Therefore, it is significant in that it presented the direction of follow-up research. Non-face-to-face education using VR education programs has been expanded due to COVID-19, and it can be settled as an alternative teaching method in a limited practical education environment even after post-COVID-19. However, efforts are needed for high-quality evidence-based educational interventions, such as research on a randomized control group design and development of a VR program suitable for the Korean nursing education situation.
