통합운영학교 운영에 대한 교원 인식 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 증가하고 있는 통합운영학교에 대한 교원들의 인식을 조사하여, 현재 운영 중인 통합운영학교의 개선점 및 향후 각 시·도교육청에서 통합운영학교를 추진할 때 고려해야 할 사안들에 대해 시사점을 제공하는데 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 전국의 34개교 통합운영학교의 교원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 최종 416명의 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 초·중통합운영학교가 중·고통합운영학교 보다 공간구성의 교육적 측면과 시설활용의 효율적 사용이 더 잘 이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났으며 인성교육, 형제 간 교육, 교사 간 원활한 협력 등에 있어서도 초·중통합운영학교가 더 긍정적으로 운영되고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 교육과정에서도 초·중통합운영학교가 중·고통합운영학교 보다 긍정적으로 교사들이 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 학교경영 측면에서도 초·중통합운영학교가 중·고통합이나 초·중·고통합운영학교 보다 긍정적인 평가가 높게 나타나고 있다. 결론적으로, 통합운영학교 중에서는 초·중통합운영학교가 상대적으로 긍정적이며 효율성이 높은 것으로 나타나 향후 시·도교육청에서는 통합운영학교를 고려할 때 초등학교와 중학교 통합 위주의 접근이 필요함을 제시하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to provide the improvement and implications for recent integrated schools operation based on teacher’s recognition. It also intends to put forth the educational viewpoints geared towards introduction integrated schools in regional education offices. To meet the research objectives, the data from 418 teachers in 34 schools was analyzed. The analysis results showed that first of all, teachers recognized that primary and middle integrated school is better used than middle and high integrated school in respect of educational space organization, efficient use of facility, personality education and smooth cooperation between teachers. Second, teachers perceived that primary and middle integrated school is more positive than middle and high integrated school in view of curriculum. Third, teachers rated high that primary and middle integrated school is better used than middle and high integrated school and primary, middle and high school integration school in respect of school management. To the conclusion, regional eduction offices should consider preferentially when they introduce integrated school, because of teacher’s perception that primary and middle integrated school is better than middle and high integrated school in respect of affirmation and efficiency
