한국과 일본 어머니의 유아교육기관 바깥놀이에 대한 인식 및 어린시절 바깥놀이 경험 비교연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국과 일본 어머니의 유아교육기관 바깥놀이에 대한 인식 및 어린시절 바깥놀이 경험을 비교하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 한국 수도권 소재 유아교육기관에 재원 중인 유아의 어머니 398명과 일본 동경시 M구의 유치원에 재원 중인 유아의 어머니 216명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0을 사용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, t-검증, 카이검증(χ²)을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 한국 어머니의 경우, 유아교육기관 바깥놀이에 대한 인식은 비교적 높은 편이며, 바깥놀이 장애요인으로 환경요인을 가장 높게, 부모요인을 가장 낮게 인식하였다. 또한 어린시절 즐거운 바깥놀이 경험이 많으며, 유아교육기관에서의 즐거운 바깥놀이 경험은 상대적으로 적은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일본 어머니의 경우, 유아교육기관 바깥놀이에 대한 인식은 비교적 높은 편이며, 바깥놀이 장애요인으로 환경요인을 가장 높게, 교사요인을 가장 낮게 인식하였다. 그리고 어린시절 즐거운 바깥놀이 경험이 많으며, 유아교육기관에서의 즐거운 바깥놀이 경험도 많은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 한국과 일본 어머니의 유아교육기관 바깥놀이에 대한 인식과 어린시절 바깥놀이 경험은 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 우리나라 유아교육기관 바깥놀이 활성화를 위한 부모교육 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to compare perception of Korean and Japanese mothers on playing outside at educational institutions for infants and their experiences of playing outside. For this, the study conducted questionnaire surveys among 398 Korean mothers of infants attending educational institutions for infants located at metropolitan areas in Korea and 216 Japanese mothers of infants attending those located at M District in Tokyo, Japan. Collected data underwent frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, chi verification (χ²) using SPSS 22.0. The findings of the study were as follows. Firstly, perception of Korean mothers on playing outside of educational institutions for infants was relatively high. They perceived environmental factor as the biggest obstacle for playing outside and perceived parent s factor as the smallest one. They tended to have plenty of experiences of playing outside during childhood whereas they had less experiences of playing outside at educational institutions for infants. Secondly, perception of Japanese mothers on playing outside at educational institutions for infants was high. They perceived environmental factor as the biggest obstacle for playing outside and perceived teacher factor as the smallest one. They tended to have plenty of experiences of playing outside during childhood whereas they had also plenty of experiences of playing outside at educational institutions for infants. Thirdly, perceptions between Korean and Japanese mothers on playing outside at educational institutions for infants and their experiences of playing outside during childhood had significant differences. Based on these findings, the study discussed the direction of parent s education to activate playing outside at educational institutions for infants in our country.
