국문 초록

본 연구는 언어 네트워크 분석 방법을 활용하여 사회과 평가연구의 현황을 실증적으로 진단하고, 향후 사회과 평가연구의 방향성 및 과제에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 사회과 관련 주요 학술지인 「시민교육연구」, 「사회과교육연구」, 「사회과교육」에 게재된 사회과 평가연구 논문 68편에 제시된 주제어 338개를 대상으로 주요 주제어 48개를 선정하고, KrKwic, UCINET 프로그램을 활용하여 의미연결망과 중앙성을 분석하였다. 분석결과 발견된 주요 특징은 첫째, 전반적으로 사회과 내 평가와 관련된 연구가 상대적으로 미흡하다는 점이다. 둘째, 학생평가, 특히 국가수준의 학생평가에 관한 연구가 강조된다는 점이다. 셋째, 교사평가 연구들의 경우 학생평가와의 연계가 아닌 교사 관련 변인에 초점을 맞추어 독립적으로 이루어진다는 점이다. 넷째, 최근의 교육평가의 주요 흐름을 어느 정도 반영하고 있다는 점이다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 사회과 평가연구의 향후 방향성으로 교육평가 패러다임을 반영한 사회과 내 평가연구의 강화, 2015 개정 사회과 교육과정의 평가 강조점에 해당되는 기능, 가치 및 태도에 대한 평가연구, 사회과 내 성취평가 및 과정중심평가 구현을 위한 실천연구를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to diagnose research of social studies evaluation by using semantic network analysis and to provide directional and task of research of social studies evaluation. For this study, a total of 338 keywords were selected from 68 social studies evaluation research papers published in the journal “Theory and Research in Citizenship Education”, “Research in Social Studies Education”, and “Social Studies Education”. And the core words were derived through KrKwic program and semantic network and centrality were analyzed through UCINET program. The results of the study are as follows. First, research of social studies evaluation is relatively insufficient. Second, studies on student evaluations, especially state-level student evaluations, are emphasized. Third, teacher evaluation studies are conducted independently, focusing on teachers-related variables. Fourth, research of social studies evaluation reflects to some extent the main trend of recent education evaluation. Based on theses analysis results, reinforcement of evaluation research reflecting the education evaluation paradigm, evaluation research for skill, value and attitude, and action research for standard-based assessment and process-focused assessment as the direction of research of social studies evaluation was proposed.
