뉴미디어 시대의 융합 인문학 교육방안

국문 초록

상호성, 수평성을 기반으로 하는 21세기 뉴미디어 환경 속에서 인문학은 새로운 국면을 맞이하고 있다. 또한 매체의 변화와 과학기술의 발전으로 인해 인문학의 의미를 정립하고 인문학 교육방안을 재구성해야하는 임무가 요구되는 현실이다. 이러한 맥락 위에서 본 논문은 동아시아 古典에 기반한 ‘한국형 인문학 교육’의 패러다임을 수립하고자 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 뉴미디어 시대의 융합 인문학 교육방안을 다음과 같은 두 가지 부분으로 고찰할 것이다. 첫째, 인간과 고전에 근간한 인문학을 즐기고 현재에 사는 ‘나’의 인문학으로 활용하기 위한 방안이다. 이 방안은 시민강좌로 대표되는 대중인문학 뿐 아니라 대학의 교육과정으로도 활용가능하며 총 12주로 편성되어 구체적으로 교안이 제시된다. 교육과정의 텍스트는 동아시아의 고전작품이다. 그리고 현재의 ‘나’의 입장에서 새롭게 분석되는 고전의 의미. 현실의 문제를 해결해 주는 고전의 힘을 학습하는 것이 첫 번째 방안의 주된 목적이다. 둘째, 고전 기반으로 공학, 경영학 등과의 융합과 활용을 시행하는 캡스톤디자인 교육방법 및 그 실례 분석을 통해 인문학 교육방안을 제시한다. 두 번째 방안은 뉴미디어의 적극적인 활용을 통한 인문융합의 교육방법이다. 이는 고전이 지닌 현실의 자산창출 능력을 예증해 주는 교육방안이기도 하다. 게다가 캡스톤디자인 교육방법은 한국대학의 동아시아 국가 유학생들을 위한 교육에도 유용하다. 왜냐하면 이는 동아시아의 공유문화와 고전에 근간한 교육이기 때문에 대학의 소외집단인 외국인 유학생들을 포괄시키는 모두를 위한 인문학 교육이 될 수 있다. 결론적으로 본 논문을 통해 인간과 고전을 기반으로 한 문화의 이해와 창출은 국가, 민족 간 경계를 넘어선다는 사실 및 인문과 과학기술 간의 연구와 협업의 측면에서도 소기의 목적을 달성하는 데 유효하다는 사실에 도달하였다.

영문 초록

In the 21st century, a new media environment has emerged based on mutuality and horizontality, and the humanities are facing a new phase of existence. In addition, because of changes in media and the development of science and technology, it is necessary to establish the meaning of humanities and reorganize the relevant teaching methods. In this context, this study aims to impact liberal arts education in the 21st-century New Media era by establishing the paradigm of “Korean-style humanities education” based on East Asian Classics. The humanities education measures to be implemented in this study will be discussed in two parts: First, the plan is to appreciate the humanities based on human beings and the classics, and to use these topics in the humanities as the “I” who lives in the present. This plan can be used not only with regard to popular humanities but also in university curricula that are represented by citizen lectures. The detailed plan will be presented in a period of 12 weeks. The text of the curriculum is an East Asian classic piece of literature, and the meaning of the classics has been newly analyzed from the point of view of the current “I”. Learning to use the power of classics to solve the problems of reality is the main purpose of the first section. Second, through an analysis of the teaching methods for capstone designs and their examples, which implement convergence and utilization with engineering, business administration, and so forth based on classical studies, humanities teaching methods are presented. The second section is a method of education for the integration of humanities through the active use of new media. It is also an educational method that exemplifies the real-life asset-generating abilities of the classics. In addition, the capstone design education method, which is used in the second section, is effective in liberal arts education for East Asian students at Korean universities because it uses the common denominator of East Asian culture, called East Asian classics. It is a “for all” humanities education that embraces foreign students, who are often treated as minorities and underprivileged in college societies. In summary, through this study, the understanding and creation of culture based on human and classical texts not only goes beyond national and ethnic boundaries but also reaches the conclusion that it is effective in achieving its intended purpose in terms of interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
