구술생애사 연구방법론을 활용한 융합적 글쓰기 수업사례 연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 부산가톨릭대학교의 ‘뉴스타트 글쓰기’ 과목의 수업사 례를 소개하는 것이다. ‘뉴스타트 글쓰기’과목은 부산가톨릭대학교의 대학 신입생 중 국어영역 테스트에서 하위 10%에 해당하는 학생들을 대상으로 개설된 과목이며 소개하고자 하는 프로그램은 ‘친구 소개하기’프로그램이다. ‘친구 소개하기’는 수강생을 2인 1조로 조를 편성한 다음, 조원들을 서로 ‘친구’로 정하고 서로에게 인터뷰를 하는 것이다. 인터뷰를 하는 목적은 서로의 ‘친구’를 소개하기 위해서이다. 이때, 구술생애사 연구방법에서 활용되는 구술생애사 연구방법의 인터뷰기법을 활용하였다. ‘친구 소개하기’ 프로그램 시행 후, 참여자들에게 만족도를 조사하기 위한 설문을 실시하였다. 객관식 설문의 결과, ‘친구 소개하기’ 프로그램의 참여자는 대체로 이 프로그램에 흥미를 갖고 몰입하여 프로그램에 적극적으로 참여했음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 수강생들은 ‘친구 소개하기’ 프로그램은 ‘말하기’, ‘듣기’, ‘읽기’, ‘쓰기’의 네 영역을 복합적으로 연습할 수 있는 프로그램이라고 답변하였다. 주관식 설문의 결과로는 친구와 친해질 수 있었다는 답변이 다수였다. 본 연구의 과정과 결과는 대학의 신입생 중 언어능력의 석차가 하위권인 학생들이 글쓰기에 흥미를 갖고 글을 쓸 수 있으며 ‘말하기, 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기’의 연습을 할 수 있도록 수업할 수 있는 수업모형이다.

영문 초록

This research aims to introduce a case study of a “Newstart Writing” course at the Catholic University of Busan. The “Newstart Writing” course is offered to students who are in the lower 10% of the evaluation of the university freshman students at Busan Catholic University. The specific program examined is “Introducing a Friend”. This program involves a class working in groups of two students. The staff members are the “friends”, and they interview each other. The purpose of the interview is to introduce each other’s friends; the oral life history research method was utilized as an interview technique. After the students participated in the “Introducing a Friend” program, they were asked about their satisfaction with the course. From the results of the multiple choice questionnaire, the students were found to be interested in the program, engaged in the program actively, and many answered that, because of the program, they could become acquainted with friends. In addition, the students responded that the “Introducing a Friend” program allowed them to practice “speaking”, “listening”, “reading”, and “writing”. As a result, this study demonstrated that the program is a model that can be used to assist first-year students with a lower level of language ability in developing an interest in writing and practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
