결혼 여성의 출산율에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석

국문 초록

우리나라가 직면한 인구절벽과 저출산 문제는 심각하다는 전제하에, 본 연구는 여성가족패널의 2016년 1월 출산력 데이터를 토대로 결혼여성의 출산에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 그 결과 연령, 학력수준, 직업의 유무, 주택의 점유형태는 출산율에 영향을 미치는 유의미한 결과를 도출하였다. 하지만 일반적인 이론과는 달리 경제수준과 직종은 출산율에 유의미하지 않다는 결과가 도출되었다. 그리고 출산율에 가장 중요한 영향을 미치는 변수를 찾기 위해 회귀분석을 한 결과 연령과 학력은 99%신뢰 구간에서 유의미했으며, 점유형태는 신뢰구간 90%에서 유의미한 것으로 증명되었다. 다시 말해서 연령이 높을수록 출산율이 높았고, 학력은 낮을수록 출산율이 높았고, 자가일수록 출산율이 높음을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 결혼 여성의 직종이나 가구소득은 출산율에 유의미하지 않았다. 따라서 한국의 결혼과 출산정책은 경제적 접근보다 우선적으로 결혼에 대한 올바른 인식전환과 가족의 필요성과 소중함에 대한 가치교육으로의 접근이 필요하다. 특히 일하는 여성에 대한 출산휴가 및 육아휴직 등 복리후생도 강화되어야 한다. 또한 젊은층의 결혼과 출산율을 높이기 위해 신혼부부에게 우선순위에 배정되는 장기전세 및 임대주택의 공급을 늘려야 한다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed factors affecting the birth of married women, based on the data of birth rate data of January, 2016, assuming that the problem of population cliffs and low birth rate facing Korea is serious. As a result, age, education level, occupation, occupation type of housing have a significant effect on birth rate. However, unlike the general theory, it was found that the economic level and occupation were not significant for the birth rate. Regression analysis was performed to find the variables that had the most significant effect on birth rate. Age and academic achievement were significant in 99% confidence interval, and occupation type was proved to be significant in 90% confidence interval. In other words, the higher the age, the higher the fertility rate, the lower the education level, the higher the birth rate. However, occupations and household income of married women were not significant for the birth rate. Therefore, Korea’s marriage and childbirth policies do not focus on the economical approach but also the need to approach the right perception of marriage and value education about the necessity and importance of the family. and Welfare benefits such as maternity leave and maternity leave for working women should also be strengthened. Also, to increase the marriage and fertility rate of young people, it is necessary to increase the supply of long-term charters and rental houses that are assigned priority to newlyweds.
