국문 초록

본 연구는 어린이들의 학교 내 놀이의 범주와 특성을 친사회적 행동의 관점으로 이해하여 사회과 가치교육적 의미를 탐색하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 경기도 파주시 ○○초등학교에 재학 중인 5학년 학생 35명의 놀이일기, 면담자료, 놀이 관찰 메모를 2017년 3월부터 2018년 2월까지 수집하고, 이를 2018년 3월부터 2019 년 2월까지 연구대상과 환경을 달리하여 사회과적인 관점으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 어린이들의 놀이는 ‘친구 관계 형성·유지’, ‘놀이 규칙 적용·변경’, ‘문제 탐구및 모험적 해결’, ‘자신의 능력 계발’, ‘어른들의 문화 모방’ 등의 사회과적인 특성이 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이들의 놀이는 ‘도와주기’, ‘나누기’, ‘위로하기’, ‘협력하기’의 친사회적 행동유형으로 이해할 수 있고, 놀이는 합리적 가치문제 판단능력 발달과 가치문제 해결능력의 학습경험이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 학교 내 어린이들의 놀이는 교실 속 사회과 가치교육의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 삶의 실천적 경험이고, 어린이들이 자발적으로 생활 속 사회과 가치교육적인 요소를 학습하여 사회성 발달에 기여할 수 있는 민주시민 자질 형성에 유의미한 경험이 될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore value educational in social studies meaning by understanding the categories and characteristics of children s play in school from the perspective of pro-social behavior. To this end, this study collected play journals, interview data and observation notes of 35 fifth graders attending ○○ elementary school in paju-si, gyeonggi-do, from march 2017 to february 2018. And It was analyzed from a social studies educational perspective of a different the object of study and environment from march 2018 to february 2019. The results of the study showed that children s play had social studies educational characteristics, such as building and maintaining a friend s relationship , application and change of play rules , exploring problems and adventing solutions , developing your own ability , and mimicking adult culture . Second, it was confirmed that children s play could be understood as a pro-social behavior type of “helping”, “sharing”, “comforting” and “cooperative” and that play could be a learning experience of developing rational value problem judgment skills and solving value problems. Therefore, children s play in school is a practical experience of life that can overcome the limitations of value education in social studies in the classroom. And it can be a significant experience in the formation of democratic citizenship qualities that can contribute to social development by voluntarily learning value educational in social studies factors in life.
