웹기반 국제교류 미술수업을 통한 교육적 효과 - 한·미 중학교 2학년 수업사례를 중심으로 -

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국·미국(8th grade) 학생들이 미술이라는 공통과업을 실행하면서 수행과정 및 결과물, 그리고 또래문화의 공유를 통한 교육적 효과를 확인하는데 그 의의가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미국 A대학교 미술교육전공 석·박사 과정의 교육전 문가 2명이 프로그램을 개발하였고 ‘유토피아(Utopia)와 디스토피아(Dystopia) 콜라 주(Collage) 표현’을 한국 수업환경에 적합하도록 연구자와 함께 수정·보완하여 수업을 설계하였다. 실제수업은 원격화상 인터넷서비스 스카이프(Skype)중심의 실시간 (Synchronous)교류와 웹사이트 구글 드라이브(Google Drive)를 활용한 과제중심의 비실시간(Asynchronous)교류 수업으로 2018년 10월 25일부터 11월 22일 까지 한국 학생 36명, 미국학생 16명이 5주간 참여하였으며, 모든 차시의 결과물, 사진과 동영상 자료들은 E-mail 및 구글 드라이브에서 수시로 공유할 수 있도록 하여 수업의 수정· 보완을 거듭하면서 연구를 진행하였다. 교사의 참여관찰, 과정 모니터링과 학생만족도 설문 및 심층면담 자료를 수집하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과 학습동기, 자신감, 미술 문화 이해를 비롯한 문화간 의사소통능력 함양 등의 유의미한 교육적 성과가 확인되 었다.

영문 초록

This study has an implication, in that it verifies educational effects through the process in which 8th graders perform art, a common task, their outcomes and sharing of the peer culture. In this study, therefore, two educational professionals who majored in art education and are in master s and doctoral course at A University in U.S.A developed the program and complemented and adjusted Collage Expression of Utopia and Dystopia to the Korean class environment, together with the researcher. The real class consisted of a remote video internet service, Skype-based synchronous exchange and task-based asynchronous exchange class using Google Drive, a web-site, and 36 Korean students and 16 American ones participated in it from October 25, 2018 to November 22, 2018, for 5 weeks. In addition, the class was repeatedly adjusted and complemented by allowing both students from two countries frequently share their creating process of works, outcomes, photos and film materials through E-mail or on Google Drive. Data about teachers participatory observation, monitoring of the process, questionnaires on students satisfaction and deep-interviews were collected and analyzed to show significant educational performances such as fostering of motivations, confidence, understanding ability of art culture, as well as communication skills between different cultures.
