이상금(李相琴)의 유아교육사상 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 한국 유아교육사상사의 학문적 가치를 정립하기 위해 이상금의 유아교육사상이 무엇인지를 탐구하는데 있다. 연구방법은 2차에 걸친 자료 수집을 바탕으로 원전중심의 생애와 연구 활동, 유아교육사상을 규명하였다. 연구결과 이상 금의 생애와 연구 활동은 철학자의 위대한 기준에 비추어 볼 때 유아교육사상가로서의 지위를 부여할 수 있었고, 유아교육사상에는 한국 근대 유치원역사관과 유아교육관이 내재되어 있었다. 한국 근대 유치원교육역사관에는 Froebel-Dewey로 이어져 내려오는 놀이를 중심한 세계사적 유아교육관과 민족주의 역사관이 포함되어 있어, 오늘까지 통관하는 유아교육역사관으로써 그 위상이 정립되고 있다. 유아교육관에는 유아교육의 개념 형성, 유아교육의 정책 방향, 유아교육의 질제고 방안이 포함되어 있어 오늘날 유아교육에 정초가 되고 있다. 이처럼 이상금의 유아교육사상은 유아교육역사관, 유아교육의 개념 설정, 유아교육의 학문적 공동체 형성에 기여할 뿐만 아니라 유아교육을 독립된 분과 학문으로서 성립하는데 단초가 되고 있다. 향후 해방이후부터 20세기까지 한국 유아교육사상 형성에 기여한 사상가를 지속적으로 탐구할 것을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the ideology of Lee Sang geum’s early childhood education and to establish the academic value of Korean early childhood education history. This study focused secondary data collection such as the life, research activities and ideology of early childhood education. As a result, Lee sang gum’s life and research activities and ideology of early childhood education were revealed that she was one of the great philosopher and role model for early childhood education thinkers. The world history early education and play-oriented preschool education based on Froebel-Dewey was exhibited at Korean Modern Kindergarten Educational History museum, Which has been evidence of concept, policy, and justice of Korean early childhood education history. In addition, the early child Lee Sang-geum’s concept of early childhood education became a starting point of academic and community to establish early childhood education as an independent discipline. This study suggests that everyone should remember and to explore ideologist or thinkers who contributed their effort in the formation of Korean early childhood education since liberation to until 20th century.
