소외 중학생의 직업 선택 과정 및 진로 탐색 교육 방안

국문 초록

중학생들은 자율적인 생활인이 되도록 직업에 대한 새로운 정체성을 확립하고 준비할 수 있도록 안내되어야 한다. 그러나 중학생의 진로탐색 교육 관련 연구는 많지 않아 현장 교사들은 다양한 특성을 지닌 학생들의 진로 지도에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 연구 문제는 소외 중학생의 직업선택 과정을 분석하여 진로 탐색 교육의 발전에 기여하는데 있다. 연구 목적은 소외 중학생이 사회경제적 배경으로 인해 소외받지 않고 자신의 능력과 자원을 최대한 개발해 나가도록 직업 탐색 교육 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 연구방법으로는 생애사 연구 방법을 적용하여, 소외 중학생 12명 의 면담 결과를 형식 분석, 분석적 추론, 비교 분석의 과정으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 소외 중학생의 직업 선택 과정은 타고난 성, 부모, 계층의 영향이 매우 크게 나타났다. 이들의 직업선택과정은 성, 부모, 계층에 의한 제약을 받으며 부모의 기대를 수용하고 관습을 따르는 순응자, 계층적 요인을 자기성찰을 통해 극복하는 삶의 주체자, 직업 탐색을 통하여 미래상을 찾아가는 전환자, 위기를 맞아 방향을 상실한 방황자, 적성보다 부모의 권유를 따르는 고통받는 고난자의 5가지 유형으로 나타났다. 소외 중학생을 위한 진로탐색 교육 방안은 젠더 평등 교육, 학부모를 위한 직업 교육, 직업적 핵심역량 개발 교육에 중점을 두어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The research issue is how the job selection process of middle school students shall be processed, by applying the biographical research method. Aim of this research is to analyze the job selection process of middle school students and find an education concept on career exploration to prevent alienation and build competence as well as resource. At the time when middle school students are ahead of higher school institutions and start to struggle with a job selection the biographical research method is applied, so that the process could be reconstructed from such pupil’s point of view. In total, 12 cases have been through formal, analytic and comparatively analyzed. Through the comparison of similarities and extremism the key categories of the job selection process are derived. As a research result, alienated middle school students are highly influenced by their gender, parents and social status. Such alienated middle school students regarding the job selection process, are divided into those, following the customs(case 6, 9, 11, 12), overcome difficulties with individual competence and become a biographical subject(case 1, 2) improve their school life behavior(case 3, 4, 5), suffer from an imbalance(case 7, 8) and suffer from obeying parental instructions(case 10). Career exploration training measures for alienated middle school students is to focus on the development of vocational education focused on gender equality education, parent education, professional core competencies.
