국문 초록

본 연구는 한부모 가족 초등학생의 성역할 정체성의 특성을 분석하고 이에 대한 교육적 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 2016년 3월, 5개 초등학교 14개 학급을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 452명의 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 남학생들은 남성성의 정체성을, 여학생은 여성성의 정체성을 형성하는 비율이 높았고, 미분화된 정체성과 양성성의 정체성은 남학생들에게서 비교적 높은 비율로 나타났다. 한부모 가족 초등학생들은 일반 가족 초등학생들보다 미분화된 정체성을 가진 비율이 월등히 높았고, 양성성의 정체성을 가진 비율은 월등히 낮았다. 이것은 5학년과 6학년에서 유사하게 나타났다. 이상의 결과는 한부모 가족 초등학생들의 미분화된 성역할 정체성을 줄이고 양성성의 정체성을 형성할 수 있는 지원이 필요함을 말해준다.

영문 초록

This study explores the gender-role identity of elementary school students who have single-parent family. The data were collected from 452 students of 14 classes in fifth and sixth grades. The main results can be summarized as follows; the boys have high portion of masculine identity and the girls have high portion of feminine identity. The boys have high portion of undifferentiated identity and androgynous identity relatively. The students who have single-parent family have higher portion of undifferentiated identity than the students who have normal family. And the students who have single-parent family have lower portion of androgynous identity than the students who have normal family. This tendency can be found in both fifth and sixth grades. This results show us the necessity of supports for encouraging androgynous identity and discouraging undifferentiated identity.
