국문 초록

본 연구는 지역별 전문계고 교사들의 전문성 차이로 인한 교육의 질적 형평성의 문제를 고찰해 보기 위해 대도시와 중 소도시, 농어촌 지역의 전기·전자·통신교육전공의 총 207명의 전문교과 교사들을 대상으로 전문성 개발 노력과 PCK를 조사하 였다. 연구 결과에 따른 결론은 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 지역별 교사들의 교사 전문성개발을 위한 자발적인 노력은 전반적으로 부족했다. 특히 농어촌지역 교사들의 연수참여 횟수와 연구 모임 참여 경험은 적어서 전문성 개발을 위한 활동이 타 지역 교 사들보다 다소 부족하였다. 둘째, 전문계고 교사들은 성공적인 교육을 위해 교사의 전문성이 가장 중요하다고 인식하고 있었으나 전문계고 교사들의 PCK는 중간이상이었다. 또한 PCK 영역 중 학습자의 이해에 대한 전문성은 중간이하로 PCK 영역 중 가장 낮았다. 셋째 지역별 교사들의 PCK는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타나 교사 전문성으로 인한 지역의 교육 형평성의 문제는 다소 적을 것으로 시사되었다. 따라서 전문계고 교사들의 전문성 향상을 위해 전문계고 학생들의 특성과 학습자들의 학습 특성을 반영한 교수학습 전략을 연수 프로그램에 포함시키는 등 체계적인연수 프로그램이 개발되어야 할 것이다. 또한 연수 및 학회의 적극적인 참여 활동을 유도 할 수 있도록 타 지역 교사들의 접근 용이성을 고려하여 행 재정적인 지원이 뒷받침 되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to consider the problem of the qualitative equity of education due to the difference of professionalism among the vocational high school teachers in metropolis, small and Medium-sized cities, rural community through investigating the regional difference of a total of 207 teachers’ PCK(pedagogical content knowledge) in electronics, electrics, and communication education major. The results were as follows. First, local teachers’ voluntary efforts to develop teacher professionalism were generally lacking. In particular, the number of teachers’ participating of teaching train and the current status of teachers’ participating of study group in rural community had the lowest. So rural community teachers’ activities for professional development were somewhat lacking in other local teachers. Second, vocational school teachers recognize that teacher professionalism is the most important for successful education, but the PCK of vocational high school teachers is moderate. Among the PCK domains, the expertise of learners understanding was lower than moderate, and it was the lowest of the PCK domains. Third, there was no statistically significant difference in the PCK of the regional teachers, suggesting that the problem of the educational equity of the local area due to the professionalism of the teachers is rather small. Therefore, in order to improve the professionalism of the vocational high school teachers, a systematic training program should be developed by including the teaching and learning strategies reflecting the characteristics of the vocational high school students and the learning characteristics of the learners. In addition, In order to encourage the active participation of teaching training and academic conference, it should be supported with financial and financial support considering the accessibility of teachers in other regions.
