국문 초록

최근 4차 산업혁명을 기반으로 드론의 다양한 활용성에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 특히 기존의 군사시설로서의 한계를 탈피하여 상업적 가능성에 대한 기대는 드론의 개발에 많은 기업의 참여를 이루게 하고 있다. 또한 대중매체를 통해 드론의 노출효과는 드론의 본질적인 목적인 군사적 수단을 넘어 하나의 레저스포츠로서의 가능성을 제시하고 있으며, 국내의 경우 2015년 기준 1만대 이상의 드론이 보급되고 각종 동호회 등을 통해 레저스포츠로서 각광을 받고 있다. 이러한 추세에 맞추어 정부는 드론산업의 발전을 위해 국제적 수준으로 규제를 최소화하고 있어 레저스포츠로서 드론산업의 경우 하나의 사회적 산업 아이템으로 높은 성장 가능성을 자지고 있다고 할 수 있다. 하지만 이러한 사회적 현상에 비해 아직 올바른 레저스포츠로서 드론을 위한 각종 규제 및 기술적 방향성에 대한 논의는 충분하지 않고 있어 이에 본 연구는 드론의 레저스포츠로서 효과적인 발전을 이루기 위해 현재 선행되고 있는 드론의 활용현황 및 규제, 그리고 기술적 발전 방향에 관해 사례분석을 통하여 추후 하나의 레저스포츠로서 드론의 성장을 위한 발전방향에 관하여 논의하고자 하는데 목적이 있다.

영문 초록

Recently, there is a growing interest in various applications of drones based on the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In particular, the expectations of commercial potential for drones, going beyond its limitations as a tool of existing military facilities, have been involving more companies in the development of drones. In addition, the exposure effect of drones through mass media suggests the possibility of being a leisure sport beyond the military means that is the intrinsic purpose of drones. In Korea, more than 10,000 drones were supplied as of 2015, while drawing attention as a leisure sport through many clubs. In line with this trend, the government has minimized the regulations to the international level for the development of the drone industry, so the drone industry is likely to have a high growth potential for being a leisure sport, as a social business item. However, there is not enough discussion about the regulations and technical direction for drones as a proper leisure sport compared with this social phenomenon. Therefore, this study aims to discuss the development direction for drones as a leisure sport in the future through a case analysis of studies on the current usage status and regulations of drones that have been already conducted to achieve the effective development of drones as a leisure sports.
