입원중인 제 2형 당뇨병 환자의 개별 당뇨교육이 당뇨지식과 자가간호에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 입원하여 치료중인 제 2형 당뇨병 환자를 대상으로 당뇨교육이 당뇨지식과 자가간호에 미치는 효과를 검정하기 위한 비동등성 대조군 전후 시차설계를 이용한 유사실험연구이다. 연구의 대상은 D광역시 D대학병원에서 제 2형 당뇨를 진단받고 입원하여 치료중인 환자를 대상으로, 대조군은 2015년 3월부터 4월까지 입원, 치료중인 환자 28명, 실험군은 5월부터 6월까지 입원하여 치료중인 환자 21명이었다. 연구결과 개별 당뇨교육을 제공받지 않은 대조군과 개별 당뇨교육을 제공받은 실험군의 당뇨지식정도와 자가간호정도는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 또한 자가간호 항목별 수행 정도에서는‘식사는 정해진 시간에 하셨습니까?, ‘처방된 약물은 매일 복용(또는 주사)하셨습니까?, 약물은 정해진 시간에 규칙적으로 복용(또는 주사)하셨습니까?, 약물은 지시된 용량만큼 복용(또는 주사)하셨습니까? 의 항목에서 개별 당뇨교육을 제공받은 실험군이 유의한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 제 2형 당뇨병 환자의 개별 당뇨교육이 당뇨지식과 자가간호에 미치는 효과를 살펴봄으로써 당뇨병 환자를 위한 효과적인 교육프로토콜의 개발과 간호중재 전략의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to identify the effects of a self-care education program on knowledge of self-care behavior for adult patients with type 2 diabetes. This study was a quasi-experimental study. The study patients were adults with type 2 diabetes in D hospital at D city. Patients assigned to the comparative group (n= 28) and who were admitted to the hospital between March and April 2015 were not given patient education. Patients assigned to the experimental group(n=21) were offered personal modules for education from May to June 2015. Data were analyze dusing descriptive analysis and Student’s t-test. With regard to how much the diabetes education helped managing diabetes, no significant differences were found in the level of knowledge and total self-care behavior. However, there was a significant difference in the self-care behaviors, such as “meal at a right time (t = −2.09, p = 0.042),” “take medicine (or injection) daily (t = −2.75, p = 0.009),” “take medicine (or injection) at the right time (t = −3.02, p = 0.004),” and “take the correct dose (t = −2.91, p = 0.006).” It is necessary to provide diabetes education with appropriate take medicine on self-care behavior. The results of this study reflect the need for education on type 2 diabetes.
