장애여부에 따른 노인의 사회참여 격차 추이와 결정요인

국문 초록

노인인구의 급속한 증가로 노년기의 삶의 질에 대한 관심은 더욱 커지고 있다. 노년기의 사회참여는 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 핵심적인 요인으로 간주되어, 이를 위한 다양한 인프라가 구축되고 있다. 본 연구는 노인의 장애여부에 따른 사회참여의 변화를 살펴보고, 이를 통해 노인의 사회참여 인프라의 효과성이 장애여부에 따라 차이가 나는지 살펴보는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 고령화연구패널조사(KLoSA: Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging)의 3개년도 자료(2010, 2012, 2014)를 활용하여 다음과 같은 분석을 실시하였다. 첫째, 각 년도 별 t-test를 통해 장애여부에 따른 사회참여 정도의 차이를 살펴보았다. 둘째, 회귀분석을 실시하여, 장애/비장애 비표준화 회귀계수치의 년도 별 변화를 통해 노인의 장애여부에 따른 사회참여 영향력의 격차 추이를 살펴보았다. 셋째, 2010년에서 2014년까지의 자료를 통합하여 사회참여 결정요인을 확인하였다. 분석결과, 비장애 노인이 장애노인에 비해 사회참여의 수준이 높게 나타났지만 전체 노인의 사회참여는 지속적으로 증가하였다. 또한 장애여부에 따른 사회참여 영향력의 격차는 점진적으로 줄어드는 것으로 나타났으며, 월평균 용돈, 종교, 주관적 건강상태, ADL 장애여부 등이 사회참여의 결정요인으로 확인되었다.

영문 초록

With the population aging and the rapid increase of the elderly population, there is a growing interest in the quality of life among the elderly. Among the various influencing factors of quality of life in the old age, social participation is regarded as a key factor, and various infrastructures focused on the elderly social participation have been constructed. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of these infrastructures through examining the changes of social participation according to the disability status of elderly people. To do this, the following analysis was conducted based on the three waves(2010, 2012, 2014) of the KLoSA data. First, we examined the difference in social participation according to disability through each year t-test. Second, we examined the year gap in the degree of non-standardized regression coefficients by regression analysis. Third, we confirmed the determinants of social participation by integrating data from 2010 to 2014. The results of the analysis are as follows. The elderly who did not have disability showed higher level of social participation than the disabled elderly. However, the social participation of the elderly has increased continuously. In addition, the gap in social participation influence due to disability gradually decreased. Monthly average allowance, religion, subjective health status, and ADL disability were identified as determinants of social participation.
