비행청소년과 일반청소년의 통제소재 및 정서성의 차이

국문 초록

본 연구는 비행청소년과 일반청소년의 내외통제성과 긍정정서, 부정정서의 차이를 알아보기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 D시에 위치한 정보통신학교(구 소년원) 비행 청소년 75명과 D중학교 및 D고등학교에 재학 중인 학생 110명을 대상으로 하였으며. 이론적 배경과 선행연구를 검토 한 후 이를 토대로 학생용 내외통제 척도, 한국판 정적 정서 및 부적 정서 척도에 대한 설문조사를 시행하였다. 설정된 연구문제는 SPSS 18.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 내부통제성, 긍정정서 및 부정정서의 차이를 검증하기 위하여 독립표본 t검증을 실시하였다. 많은 선행연구에서 비행청소년과 일반청소년의 내부통제성, 긍정정서 및 부정정서가 유의한 차이가 있음을 밝혔지만 본연구에서는 비행청소년이 일반청소년에 비해서 내부통제성이 낮고, 부정정서는 높지만 긍정정서에는 차이가 없음을 밝혔다. 결과로 나타난 비행청소년에 대한 특성들을 일반청소년과 기존의 연구결과와의 차별성을 논의하였으며 실제 비행에 의해 교정시설에 있는 청소년을 대상으로 연구를 진행한 점과 교정현장에서의 적용의 의의를 가진다.

영문 초록

This study intended to probe into the difference between juvenile delinquents and non-delinquent adolescents in terms of internal-external control, as well as positive and negative emotions. In order to achieve the objective of the study, 75 juvenile delinquents of the information and communication school (formerly youth detention center) located in D city, and 110 students at D middle school and D high school were examined. Further the theoretical backgrounds and preceding studies were reviewed, and a questionnaire survey was conducted on internal-external control criteria for students and the Korean standard for negative and positive emotions. An independent sample T-test was performed to verify the difference in internal-external control and, positive and negative emotions using SPSS 18.0 statistics program. While a number of preceding studies proved a significant difference between juvenile delinquents and non-delinquent adolescents in terms of internal control and positive and negative emotions, this study holds significance for it manifested that juvenile delinquents have lower internal control and, more intensive negative emotions but similar levels of positive emotion compared with non-delinquent adolescents. In result, we discuss the characteristics of the delinquent adolescents and the difference between the conventional delinquent adolescents and the existing research results. This implies that the study was conducted on delinquent adolescents at the house of correction by actual delinquency and that it was applied at the correction site.
