작가의 표상으로서 새로운 인간상 – 독일문학속의 인물들을 사례로

국문 초록

어느 시대를 막론하고 인간은 재교육이 가능하다는 사실은 자명하다. 왜냐하면 인간 내면에는 인 간만이 가지는 고유의 참자아 Being/Dasein와 참양심 Deep Consience이 숨쉬고 있기 때문이다. 이것 은 또한 인간이 제 4차 산업혁명시대의 인공지능 및 로봇과는 차별화된 점이기도 하다. 따라서 본 연 구에서 필자가 여기서 주목을 하고자 하는 것은 최근 인공지능(AI)이나 로봇공학의 등장으로 21세기 인간의 역할과 기능에 관해 묻고 우리 인간이 이러한 인공 지능 및 로봇들과 어떻게 공존할 수 있을 까 하는 것을 살펴보고자 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최근 제4차 산업혁명이 초미의 관심사로 대두하 고 있는 학문의 흐름에 편승하여 독일문학에서의 새로운 인간상에 주목을 한 바 이를 칼 필립 모리 츠 Karl Philipp Moritz의 장편 소설, 『안톤 라이저 Anton Reiser』(1785)』와 헤세의 『페터 카멘친 트 Peter Camenzind』(1904)에서 찾아 제시하고자 한다. 새로운 인간상 모색과 관련하여 이 두 인물 들에서 찾은 특징들은 아래와 같이 3 가지로 정리할 수 있다. 이러한 맥락 하에서 본 이 두 소설의 주인공들의 공통점은 아래와 같이 3 가지로 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 이들 주인공들은 각각의 삶을 기 록하고 있다. 예를 들어 안톤의 경우, 시라는 매체를 통해 자신의 삶을 기록하는가하면 페터의 경우, 자기 성장 및 발전을 위한 삶의 과정들을 여행일지라는 형식으로 남긴다. 이들 사이에서 더욱 흥미로 운 점은 이들 주인공 모두가 궁극적으로는 시인이 되는 것이 삶의 목표이자 꿈이다. 물론 이들의 꿈 은 실현되어 이 둘은 결국 자타가 인정하는 시인이 된다. 둘째, 이들은 모두 집을 떠나 자기만의 독 립적인 삶의 방식을 찾아간다는 점이다. 특히 안톤의 경우, 학교를 가기 위해 남의 집 생활을 하는 것은 물론 끼니를 굶어야할 정도로 힘든 생활을 하는가하면 페터의 경우도 갖은 고생 후에 결국 자 신의 길을 찾아가게 된다. 셋째, 그럼에도 불구하고 이들은 자신의 고향(페터의 경우)으로 회귀하거나 살고 있는 지역사회를 위해 헌신하는 삶(안톤의 경우)을 선택한다는 점이다. 이는 이들이 고된 삶의 과정 속에서도 좌절하지 않고 궁극적으로는 이들의 삶의 터에서 사람들과 더불어 살아가고 있는 열 린 인간상을 보여주는 것이라 하겠다.

영문 초록

Regardless of any age, it is obvious that a human being is available for re-education. That is because the human mind is being breathed Being/Dasein and Deep Conscience peculiar to a human being. This is also a human being s differentiation from artificial intelligence and robot in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Accordingly, this study aims to ask about a human being s role and function in the 21st century due to the recent appearance of AI(artificial intelligence) or robot engineering as for a writer s attention here, and to examine how we humans will be able to coexist with these AI and robot. Hence, with paying attention to a new human image in German literature going along with a flow of the learning in which the fourth industrial revolution is emerging as an urgent concern these days, this study aims to make a suggestion through seeking this in Karl Philipp Moritz s full-length novel 『Anton Reiser』(1785)』and Hesse s 『Peter Camenzind』(1904). In terms of pursuing a new human image, the characteristics, which were found in these two characters, can be arranged as the following 3 things. Under this context, a common ground in the main characters of these two novels can be arranged as the following 3 things. First, these leading characters are recording each one s life. For instance, Anton records own life through a medium dubbed a poem. On the other hand, Peter leaves the processes of a life for self-growth and development in the form of a travel diary. What is more interesting between these two is that both main characters have a goal and a dream of a life ultimately as becoming a poet. These characters dream is realized, of course. Thus, these two result in becoming a generally admitted poet. Second, both characters proceed with seeking their own method of independent life with leaving home. Especially, Anton makes a hard life enough to necessarily skipping meals as well as living in other person s house in order to go to school. On the other hand, even Peter comes to proceed with resulting in seeking own way following all kinds of hardships. Third, nevertheless, these characters select a life of returning to his hometown(in case of Peter) and or of devoting himself to community(Anton). This can be considered that these characters show an open human image of ultimately living with people in their livelihood without being frustrated even amidst the process of a tough life.
