한국어 경력 교원의 역량에 대한 탐구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 ‘한국어 예비 교원 국외 실습 지원 사업’에 참여한 교원을 통해 드러난 한국어 경력 교원에게 요구되는 공통 역량을 구명하고, 역량군, 역량명과 역량 정의의 타당성을 확보하는 것이다. 방법 한국어 경력 교원 4인을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰와 내용 분석, 문헌 연구를 통하여 경력 교원에게 필요한 21개의 역량을 도출하였다. 그리고 ‘예비 교원 실습 사업’에 참여한 경험이 있는 경력 교원 11명을 대상으로 2회에 걸쳐 델파이 조사를 실시하여 역량군, 역량명, 역량 정의에 대한 내용 타당도를 확보하였다. 최종적으로 전문가 자문을 거쳐 한국어 경력 교원의 역량을 확정하였다. 결과 한국어 경력 교원에게 필요한 5개의 역량군과 19개의 역량이 도출되었다. 그중 공통 역량으로 수업 준비 및 운영, 교사 리더십, 자기 계발의 3개 역량군과 하위 13개의 역량이, 실습 사업과 관련해 특화된 역량으로 교원 실습 지원, 현장 사업 운영의 2개 역량군과 하위 6개의 역량이 선정되었다. 결론 본 연구는 한국어 경력 교원의 역량 구명을 위해 다각적으로 자료를 수집하고 혼합분석 방식을 활용하여 경력 교원들의 풍부하고 실제적인 의견을 반영하였다는데 의의가 있다. 도출된 역량은 향후 경력 교원 역량 모델링 및 체계적인 역량 강화 프로그램 개발의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to find out the common competencies required for Korean language career teachers who participated in the ‘Project to support the overseas practicum of Korean language pre-service teachers’ and to secure the validity of the competency group, name and definition. Methods We derived 21 competencies required for experienced teachers through in-depth interviews with four Korean language career teachers, content analysis, and literature review. In addition, the Delphi survey was conducted twice for 11 Korean language career teachers who participated in the ‘pre-service teacher practicum project’ to secure validity for competency groups, names, and definitions. Finally, we reflected experts’ advice to confirm the competencies of Korean language career teachers. Results Five competency groups and 19 competencies required for Korean language career teachers were derived. Among them, common competencies are three groups of ‘class preparation and management, teacher leadership, and self-development’, and 13 competencies specialized. Then, two groups specialized for the practicum project, ‘teacher training support, and project operation’ are related and six competencies were included. Conclusions It is meaningful that it was possible to contain rich and practical opinions of experienced teachers while collecting data in various ways and using a mixed analysis method to determine the competency of career teachers. The confirmed competencies can be used as primary factors for career teachers’ competency models and systematic capacity-building program development.
