디지털 영어 교과서를 활용한 블렌디드 러닝 수업 실천 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 Covid-19 상황에서 학생들의 학교 등교 방식이 대면 및 비대면의 복합적인 방식으로 이루어짐에 따라 디지털 영어 교과서를 활용하여 블렌디드 러닝 수업을 적절히 계획하여 실시한 후 초등학생들의 영어 능력 및 영어에 대한 흥미, 자신감, 의사소통의지(WTC)의 정의적 영역의 변화 및 그에 따른 반응을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 방법 연구 대상은 초등학교에 재학 중인 4학년 140명의 학생들이며 2021년 4월 ~ 6월, 8주에 걸쳐 디지털 영어 교과서를 활용한 블렌디드 온⋅오프라인 수업을 진행한 후, 사전⋅사후 영어능력 평가 및 구조화된 설문지를 활용하여 결과를 분석하였다. 결과 본 연구 결과 디지털 영어 교과서를 활용한 블렌디드 러닝 수업이 초등학교 학생들의 영어 듣기, 말하기 영역과 영어에 대한 흥미, 자신감, 의사소통의지(WTC)의 정의적 영역에 긍정적인 변화를 주었으며, 디지털 영어 교과서를 활용한 블렌디드 러닝 수업에 대한 긍정적인 반응을 보여주었다. 결론 이러한 연구 결과는 디지털 영어 교과서를 활용한 블렌디드 러닝 수업을 효과적으로 계획하고 활용할 수 있는 바탕이 되어 학습자들의 영어 학습에 긍정적인 영향을 끼치는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to properly plan and conduct blended learning classes using digital English textbooks and to examine the effect of elementary school students English ability and interest, confidence, and willingness to communicate(WTC) in English after conducting blended learning lesson in digital English textbooks. Methods 140 fourth grade students in elementary school students are participated in this study for eight weeks from April to June 2021. English ability test, interest, self-confidence test and WTC questionnaire were collected and analyzed. The results were analyzed using pre- and post-English proficiency assessments and structured questionnaires. Results According to this study, blended learning classes in digital English textbooks had a positive impact on elementary school students English listening, speaking and interest, confidence, and WTC in English. Also it showed a positive response to blended learning classes using digital English textbooks. Conclusions The results of these studies could be the basis for effective plan and use of blended learning lessons in digital English textbooks, helping learners have a positive impact on English learning.
