피아노 학원 교수자가 경험한 올바른 교수법에 관한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 피아노 학원 교수자들의 경험을 바탕으로 올바른 교수법이란 무엇인가를 현상학적으로 접근한 연구이다. 이를 통해 이들이 어떠한 교육철학을 가지고 어떠한 방법으로 학생들을 지도하고 있는지 그들의 진술을 중심으로 결과를 도출하고 이를 통해 현행 피아노 교육에 시사하는 바를 논의 하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 한다. 방법 심층 인터뷰를 중심으로 한 질적연구로 수집된 자료를 Colaizzi의 현상학적 방법의 단계에 따라 분석하여 결과를 도출한다. 연구대상의 범위는 용인시로 한정하고 참여자는 6명으로 한다. 참여자 모두 5년 이상의 피아노 학원 운영경력과 학사 이상의 음악 관련 전공 학위를 가진 교수자이자 경영자들이다. 결과 10개의 구성된 의미(formulated meaning)를 통한 4개의 주제, ‘공감과 소통의 눈높이 교육’, ‘학생주도 교육을 전제로 한 교사의 개입’, ‘수준별 차별화와 새로운 평가방식’, ‘성향과 상황에 따른 스트레스 이해와 해소’가 올바른 교수법으로 도출 되었다. 4개 주제 모두 기존 교수법의 문제로 꼽히는 ‘모방 교수법’과 ‘결과 중심적 접근’을 탈피하고 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 결론 본 연구는 위 결과를 바탕으로 학습자 중심의 눈높이 교육 추구, 교수자에게 요구되는 다양한 분야의 지식과 역량, 그리고 좋은 교수법을 찾기 위한 교사 자신의 지속적 노력을 제언한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study is a phenomenological approach to what is the good teaching method based on the experiences of piano instructors. The purpose of this study is to draw from their statements about what kind of educational philosophy they have and how to guide students, and to discuss the implications for the current piano education through this. Methods The research method is a qualitative study centered on in-depth interviews, and the data collected are analyzed according to the steps of Colaizzi s phenomenological method, and the results are derived. The scope of the research subjects is limited to Yongin city and the number of participants is 6 people. All participants are professors and managers with more than 5 years of experience in operating a piano academy and a bachelor s degree or higher in music-related majors. Results As a result of the study, four themes through 10 formulated meanings, ‘Education at the eye level of empathy and communication’, ‘Teacher intervention on the premise of student-led education’, ‘Differentiation by level and new evaluation method’, ‘Understanding and relieving stress according to inclinations and situations’ was derived as the correct teaching method. It can be seen that all four subjects are breaking away from ‘imitation teaching’ and ‘result-oriented approach’, which are considered problems of existing teaching methods. Conclusions In conclusion, this study would suggest that teachers should make continuous efforts to seek learner-centered, eye-level education, to find knowledge and competency in various fields required of teachers, and to find good teaching methods.
