국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 코딩교육에 대한 어린이집 원장과 교사의 관심도와 인식을 비교 분석하는데 있다. 방법 연구 대상은 S시와 K도에 소재한 어린이집에 재직 중인 원장 128명, 교사 229명이었다. 어린이집 원장과 교사의 코딩교육에 대한 관심도와 인식을 파악하기 위해 이민영(2017)에서 사용한 설문지를 수정⋅보완하여 사용하였다. 개발된 설문지를 연구대상 어린이집 원장과 교사들에게 방문, 이메일 및 우편으로 배부하고 회수하여 연구 자료를 수집하고, 수집한 자료는 t-검증, ANOVA와 추후분석으로 Scheffé 검증을 하였다. 결과 분석결과, 첫째, 어린이집 원장의 코딩교육 관심도는 정보적 관심, 교사는 결과적 관심에서 가장 높은 것으로 나타났고, 학력에 따른 관심도 차이가 교사, 전공에 따른 관심도 차이가 원장과 교사에게서 나타났다. 둘째, 코딩교육에 대한 인식에서 하위항목인 교육환경 전체에 있어서 원장과 교사의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 어린이집에서 코딩교육의 도입 필요성 여부와 원장과 교사교육 방향에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 필요함을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the concerns and perceptions of child care center directors and teachers on coding education. Methods The participants of this study were comprised of 128 directors and 229 teachers in Seoul and Kyunggi Province. The child care center directors’ and teachers’ concerns and perceptions on coding education were collected using the revised questionnaire of ‘change facilitator stages of concerns and perceptions’ by Min-young Lee(2017). The data were collected by mail and in-person visits. It was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffé. It was found that there were some difference among directors’ and teachers’ background variables. Results The results of this study indicated that, first, the interest in coding education of the day care center director was shown to be the highest in informational interest, and that of the teacher was the interest in results. Second, it was found that there was the difference between the director and the teacher in the overall educational environment, which is a sub-item in the perception of coding education. Conclusions It implied that an in-depth discussion on the necessity of introducing coding education in daycare centers and the direction of director and teacher education is necessary.
