다문화청소년의 이중문화수용태도가 학교적응에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 다문화청소년의 이중문화수용태도가 학교적응에 미치는 영향력을 확인하고, 이들의 관계에서 자아존중감과 사회적 위축의 다중매개효과를 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법 대상은 다문화청소년패널(MAPS) 8차년도 자료를 활용하여 고등학교 2학년 다문화 청소년 1,197명을 선정하였다. 연구모형의 정규성 분포는 왜도와 첨도를 통해 확인하였고, 상관관계분석을 통해 주요변수의 관계를 확인하였다. 그리고 PROCESS macro for SPSS version 4.0의 병렬다중매개 모형 검증방법(Model4)을 사용하여 자아존중감과 사회적 위축의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 결과 첫째, 다문화청소년의 이중문화수용태도는 학교적응에 긍정적인 영향력을 보였다. 둘째, 이중문화수용태도는 자아존중감에는 긍정적인 영향을 미친 반면, 사회적 위축에는 부정적인 영향력을 보였다. 셋째, 자아존중감과 사회적 위축은 모두 다문화 청소년의 이중문화수용태도와 학교적응의 관계를 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 분석결과를 바탕으로 다문화청소년의 학교적응도를 높이기 위한 논의 및 시사점을 제시하였다. 즉, 다문화청소년의 효과적 학교적응을 위한 제도 및 정책, 프로그램 등 다차원적 개입방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study were to investigate the influence of multi-cultural adolescents bicultural acceptance attitude on school adaptation, and to confirm the multi-mediating effect of self-esteem and social withdrawal their relationship. Methods For analysis, data from the 8th year of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study(MAPS) were used. The subject were 1,197 multicultural adolescents in their second year of high school, and analysis was performed using PROCESS macro for SPSS version 4.0(model4) Results First, the bicultural acceptance attitude of multicultural adolescents showed a positive influence on school adaptation. Second, the bicultural acceptance attitude had a positive effect on self-esteem, but a negative effect on social withdrawal. Third, self-esteem and social withdrawal were found to partially mediate the relationship between multicultural youth s adolescents bicultural acceptance attitude and school adaptation. Conclusions Based on these results, we discussed how to improve the school adaptation of multicultural youth. In other words, it is important that multi-dimensional intervention such as systems, policies, and programs for effective school adaptation of multicultural youth.
