유아 및 초등 스토리텔링 수학교육 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 스토리텔링을 활용한 유아 수학교육과 초등 수학교육 연구를 중심으로 스토리텔링 활용과 교육 내용, 방법론적 동향을 종합적으로 분석함으로써 스토리텔링 수학교육 분야의 학문 동향과 유아 수학교육과 초등 수학교육에 따른 스토리텔링 연구가 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 위해 2012년 이후부터 2020년 9월까지 발간된 학술지 및 석·박사학위논문 총 82편을 중심으로 스토리텔링 수학교육 연구에서의 스토리 출처 유형, 스토리 활용방법, 수학교육 내용, 교육효과성, 연구대상, 연구내용 및 연구유형을 유아 수학교육과 초등 수학교육으로 나누어 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 스토리텔링 수학교육 연구에서 스토리 출처 유형의 경우 유아 수학교육에서는 창작 스토리가, 초등 수학교육에서는 수학교과서 스토리가 가장 많이 활용되었으며, 스토리텔링 활용방법에 대해서는 유아 수학교육과 초등 수학교육에서 동일하게 수학 개념 활용이 가장 많이 나타났다. 스토리텔링 수학 연구의 수학교육 내용은 유아 수학교육과 초등 수학교육 모두 ‘수와 연산’이 가장 많았으며, 교육효과성 분석 결과는 유아 수학교육에서는 수학능력에 편중되어 인지적 영역에 연구가 활발히 이루어졌으며, 초등 수학교육에서는 수학적 성향에 치중되어 정의적 영역에 연구가 활발하게 나타났다. 연구방법적 동향은 유아 수학과 초등 수학 교육에서 모두 양적연구가 가장 큰 비중을 차지하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trend of storytelling in early childhood and elementary mathematics education with the focus on the storytelling category, mathematics contents, effectiveness of education, and research method. Analyses were conducted on 35 domestic master and doctoral dissertations and on 47 journals published in Korea from 2012 to 2020. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, the most frequently used story category was ‘creative story’. Also in ealrly childhood and elementary mathematics education, math activities by choosing appropriate story that contain mathematical concepts, have increased in the methods of utilizing storytelling. Second, the most frequently studied content of mathematics was number and operation. Third, in the studies of effectiveness of education on early childhood mathematics, the major effectiveness of education was to survey mathematics ability. On the other hand, in the studies of effectiveness of education on elementary mathematics, the major effectiveness of education was to survey mathematical disposition .Fourth, experimental study with t-test, ANOVA for 5 year-old children was the predominant research methodology in this field.
