국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 단편영화 <커퓨(Curfew)>를 활용하여 영화감상문 쓰기 교육의 효과성을 고찰하는 것이다. 특히 본고는 글쓰기 수업을 통해 학습자들이 관계 회복에 의한 ‘소통’의 가능성을 발견하고, 존재의 ‘의미’ 발견의 중요성을 인식하도록 하 는 데 중점을 두었다. 이에 서울신학대학교 2018년도 1학년의 교양필수 과목인 <교양독서와글쓰기> 수강생들을 대상으로 숀 크리스텐슨 감독의 단편영화 <커퓨>의 감상문 쓰기를 진행하였다. 본고는 학습자들의 주체적이고 능동적인 감상에 의해 작 성된 감상문을 분석하여 글쓰기 교육의 효과성을 고찰하였다. 또한 학습자들의 반응을 검토하기 위해 설문조사를 진행하였으며 학습자들의 의견을 구체화하기 위해 주관식 문항도 함께 살폈다. 이로부터 관계 회복에 의한 소통과 존재의 의미 발견의 중 요성에 대한 학습자들의 인식 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 영화 속의 상징 분석과 감상문의 공유가 학습자들의 사유 확장에 크게 기여함을 볼 수 있었다. 본고는 소통에 어려움을 겪고 있는 학습자들뿐만 아니라 소외된 가족 구성원과 이웃이 관계의 어려움을 극복하고 존재의 의미를 찾아가는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of education on the report writing by utilizing a short film . In particular, this study was focused on allowing learners to find a possibility of communication and recognize the importance of discovering the meaning of being by the restoration of relationships through the writing class. Thus, a report writing session was conducted for a short film directed by Shawn Christensen with students enrolled in , a compulsory course for the first year students at Seoul Theological University in 2018. This article discussed the effectiveness of writing education by analyzing the reports that learners had written through independent and active appreciation. In addition, a survey was conducted to figure out the reactions of learners, and in order to specify their opinions, subjective questions were also analyzed. Through these, the changes in the learners perception of the importance of communication and the meaning of being by restoration of relationships could be seen. It could be also found that the analysis of symbols in the film and sharing of their reports contributed substantially to the expansion of learners thinking. This study is significant in that it can be of help for not only learners who have difficulty in communication but also alienated family members and neighbors to overcome difficulties in relationships and to find the meaning of being.
