국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 다문화 가정 어머니의 문화적응스트레스, 양육(부모)효능감, 청소년 자녀가 지각한 어머니의 진로관련행동, 진로장벽인식 간 구조적 관계를 확인하고, 청소년 자녀의 성별에 따라 구조적 관계에 차별적인 특징이 나타나는지 확인하 는 것이다. 이를 위해 다문화청소년패널연구 6차년도 자료(2016년)의 1,181명을 분석 대상으로 하였으며, 분석 방법으로 구조방정식과 다집단 분석을 사용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 어머니의 문화적응스트레스는 양육효능감에 부적 영향, 청소년 자녀의 진로장벽인식에 정적 영향을 미치는 직접효과가 있었다. 양육효능감은 청소년 자녀가 지각한 어머니의 진로관련행동 중 지지에 정적 영향, 관여부족에 부적 영향을 미치는 직접효과가 있었다. 청소년 자녀가 지각한 어머니의 진로관련행동 중 지지는 진로장벽인식에 부적 영향, 간섭, 관여부족은 진로장벽인식에 정적 영향을 미치는 직접효과가 있었다. 둘째, 어머니의 문화적응스트레스는 양육효능감, 어머니의 진로 관련행동 중 하나인 지지와 관여부족을 매개로 진로장벽인식에 정적 영향을 미치는 간접효과가 있었다. 셋째, 다집단 분석 결과, 12개의 경로 중 양육효능감이 진로관련행동 중 하나인 간섭에 영향을 미치는 1개 경로에서만 청소년 자녀의 성별에 따른 차별적인 특징이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 다문화 가정 어머니의 심리적 특성 및 진로관련행동이 다문화 가정 청소년의 진로장벽인식에 영향을 미치는 중요변인임을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The focus of this paper was to explore the structural relationship among acculturative stress, parenting efficacy, and child’s perception of parent’s career-related behaviors and career barriers in multicultural families. The study also looked at gender differences in the structural relations. 1,182 pairs of mother and child were used as sample subjects from the 6th Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study(MAPS) and structural equation modeling and multi-group analysis were used. The study revealed the following results. First, mother’s acculturative stress had direct effect on parenting efficacy as negative while on career barrier in positive. Parenting efficacy had significant effect on children’s perception of parent’s career-related behaviors; it showed positive effect on career-support but negative effect on lack of engagement. Among children’s perception of parent’s career-related behaviors, parents’ support showed negative effect on their children’s perception in low career barriers while lack of engagement resulted in opposite. Second, mother’s acculturative stress showed indirect positive effect on children’s perception in career barrier through mother’s career-related behaviors, support and lack of engagement. Third, only the effects of parenting efficacy on interference among parent’s career-related behaviors showed significant gender differences. These results imply that mother’s psychological backgrounds and career-related behaviors should be more focused when educators understand student’s perception of career-barrier in multicultural families.
