다문화교육에 대한 예비유아교사와 경력교사의 인식차이

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비유아교사와 경력교사가 다문화교육에 대해 어떻게 인식과 요구를 알아보기 위해 2017년 11월 15일부터 2018년 2월 20일까지 예비유아교사 203명, 경력교사 197명에게 구조적 설문지 검사를 실시하였다. 설문지 문항은 총 35문항으로 교육과정 운영과 다문화교육의 지원에 대한 구체적 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 경력교사는 예비교사에 비해 ‘다인종·민족일지라도 존중해주어야 하며 다문화 가정을 인정해 주어야한다’에 더 높은 인식을 보였고, 다문화가정 자녀들 교육에 부정적 영향을 미치는 요인을 찾아낼 수 있다는 지도능력에 자신감을 나타냈다. 또한 경력교사는 교육과정에 다문화 내용 반영, 교수·학습자료나 다문화교육프로그램의 부족, 워크숍 또는 폭넓은 연수기회의 확대, 행·재정적 지원을 예비교사에 비해 더많이 요구하였으며, 구체적인 교재와 소재에 대한 고민을 나타내고 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to know how pre - service early childhood teachers and careers teachers perceive and understand about multicultural education. From November 15, 2017 to February 20, 2018, 203 preliminary early childhood teachers and 197 career teachers were surveyed. The questionnaire items were composed of 35 items, and we sought to find specific ways to support curriculum management and support for multicultural education. As a result of the research, the teachers showed a higher awareness of respecting multicultural families and ethnicities and recognizing multicultural families as compared with the preliminary teachers, and they were more confident in their ability to find out factors that negatively affect the education of children of multicultural families Respectively. In addition, career teachers demanded more reflection of multicultural contents, lack of teaching and learning materials and multicultural education programs, expansion of workshops or a wide range of training opportunities, financial support and support for the curriculum. Career teachers were more concerned about concrete textbooks and materials for multicultural education.
