당시(唐)를 활용한 언어교육 프로그램이 중국 4세 유아의 음운론적 인식에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 당시를 활용한 언어교육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 시행함으로써 중국 4세 유아의 음운론적 인식에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2017년 4월11일에서 6월 4일까지 중국 광둥성(广东省) 광저우시(广州市) 바이윈구 (白云区)에 위치한 유치원 2곳의 4개 학급, 중반(4세) 유아 총 98명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어 실험을 실시하였다. 실험집단 유아에게는 본 연구에서 개발한총 16차시의 당시를 활용한 언어교육 프로그램을 실시하였으며, 통제집단 유아에게는 같은 시간에 유치원 교육과정의 언어수업을 실시하였다. 프로그램 실시 전과 후에 각각 두 집단 유아의 음운론적 인식의 결과를 수집하여 양적·질적 혼합연구 방법 으로 분석하였으며, 프로그램에 대한 평가를 위해 연구에 참여한 유아와 교사를 대상으로 포커스 그룹 면담을 시행하였다. 연구 결과, 이 언어교육 프로그램은 프로그 램에 참여한 유아의 음절인식, 각운인식 및 성조인식을 유의하게 향상시켰고, 음소 인식에는 유의한 변화가 없었다. 프로그램의 시행과정 중 유아는 당시의 음절을 다양한 방식으로 표현하였고, 각운에 대해 민감성을 보이기 시작하였으며, 성조가 다른 발음을 구분하는 등 변화를 보였다. 또한 교사와 유아를 대상으로 한 포커스 그룹 면담에서 이 프로그램이 유아들의 흥미를 충분히 유발하며 발달 특성에 적합한 프로 그램임이 증명되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop a Language Teaching Programs through Tang Poems(LTPTP) and investigate the effects of the program on phonological awareness of Chinese preschoolers. For the study, 98 4-year-olds from 4 classes of 2 kindergartens located in Guangzhou City, China, were assigned to either an experimental group (n=49) or control group (n=49). Their phonological awareness were assessed to verify the effects of LTPTP, which consisted of 16 sessions of 30 minutes being held 4 times a week for 4 weeks. LTPTP applied both information-extraction teaching method and aesthetic teaching method. In addition, focus group interviews were conducted to evaluate the program with the children and teachers who participated. Data collected through pre- and post-assessments was analyzed using descriptive statistics, two-independent samples t-test, and analysis of covariance. As a result of the study, the treatment group showed a significant increase in phonological awareness, specifically in rhyme, syllable, and tone. However, no significant improvement was observed only in phoneme awareness. During the implementation of the program, the children expressed the syllables of the poems in various ways, began to show sensitivity to rhyming, and started to distinguish the different tone pronunciations. Finally, the FGI with children and teachers indicated that LTPTP attracts young children’s interests and is developmentally appropriate.
