국문 초록

본 연구는 학습자 관점에서 EBSe 자기주도 온라인 영작문 프로그램과 포트폴리오 방 법에 대한 효율성을 고찰하였다. 본 연구에 참여한 55명의 대학생은 EBSe 자기주도 온 라인 영작문 프로그램에서 제공하는 과업을 완수하고 그 결과물을 1학기 동안 포트폴리 오 방식으로 수집하였다. 아울러, 학기 말에 EBSe 자기주도 온라인 영작문 프로그램과 포트폴리오 방법의 효율성에 대한 설문지에 응답하였다. 학생들의 설문 결과는 통계 분 석 프로그램인 SPSS와 근거 이론 기법에 의하여 양적 및 질적 방식으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면, 대부분의 학생들은 EBSe 자기주도 온라인 영작문 프로그램으로 인하여 자신들의 영작문 실력이 향상되었으며, EBSe 자기주도 온라인 영작문 프로그램 에 소속된 교사로부터 받은 피드백이 전체 프로그램 중에서 가장 유용하였다고 밝혔다. 또한, 포트폴리오 방식은 그들의 점진적인 영작문 실력을 관찰할 수 있도록 도와준다는 점에서 유용하다고 밝혔다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 컴퓨터 보조 교수와 포트폴리 오 방식에 대한 교육학적인 함의가 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the effectiveness of the EBSe learner-centered online English writing program and the writing portfolio method from the students’ perspectives. Fifty-five Korean university students participated in the study by completing the writing tasks offered by the EBSe learner-centered online English writing program and collecting their writings in the portfolio format. At the end of the course, they were asked to respond to a survey about the usefulness of the EBSe online English writing program and the writing portfolio method. The data were then analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively using the computer software SPSS 17.0 and the grounded theory techniques. The findings indicated that most of the students thought that their English writing skills had improved through the EBSe learner-centered online English writing program and that the feedback from the EBSe teacher was one of the most useful aspects of the entire program. In addition, they reported that the portfolio method was useful as it enabled them to see the gradual improvement of their English writing skills. Based upon these findings, the pedagogical implications of computer-assisted instruction and a portfolio method are discussed.
