청소년 다문화 태도 척도 개발 및 타당화

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 한국 청소년용 다문화 태도 척도를 개발하고 타당화 하는 데 있었다. 이를 위하여 Fishbein & Ajzen(1975)의 단일차원모델 이론에 입각하여 청소년의 다문화 태도 개념을 정립하고 이 개념에 적합한 34개 문항을 개발하였다. 그리고 다문화 교육, 교육철학, 특수교육, 진로교육 전문가 총 8명을 대상으로 문항내용과 표현의 적절성에 대한 내용타당도 검증을 실시하였다. 그 다음에 10명의 고등학생을 대상으로 문항 적합도 검증 절차를 거쳐서 문항을 수정하여 총 29문항으로 구성된 예비조사 도구를 확정하였다. 확정된 예비문항을 토대로 청소년 410명을 대상으로 예비조사를 실시하고 신뢰도와 타당도를 확인하였다. 그 결과를 반영하여 총 19문항으로 구성된 다문화 타도 본 조사 도구를 완성하였다. 본 조사는 예비 조사 참여 집단과 다른 청소년으로부터 수집된 자료(502부)를 토대로 신뢰도와 타당도를 평가한 뒤 최종적으로 3요인, 총 16문항의 청소년용 다문화태도 척도를 개발하였다. 요인1은 다문화 개방성(6문항), 요인2는 다문화 수용성(5문 항), 요인3은 다문화 공존성(5문항)으로 명명하였으며 전체 신뢰도 α＝.95였다. 한편 CFA를 통한 척도 모형 적합도 평가지수는 모두 양호하게 부합되었으며 척도의 타당성도 검증되었다. 끝으로 연구 결과를 바탕으로 개발된 청소년 다문화 태도 척도의 의의와 이 연구의 제한점을 토대로 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the Multicultural Attitude Scale. First, 29 preliminary items were developed based on theoretical literatures and other existing scales after verification of experts. The preliminary scale was administered to a sample of 366 students. Then, after revising the preliminary items based on item-score correlation and factor extraction, the revised scale consisting of 19 items was administered to a sample of 560 students. The Multicultural Attitude Scale was developed and it was consists of 3 factors and 16 items. The first factor(6 items) was multicultural openness, the second factor(5 items) one with multicultural acceptability and the third factor(5 items) with multicultural coexistence. The internal consistency of the total scale was ⍺＝.95 and Cronbach s ⍺ of 3 subfactors ranged between .86 and .92. The exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were performed in order to assess the construct validity. The 3 factor model proved good fit to the data and all items had a significant effect to each construct from which it can be concluded that convergent validity is supported for all of the items. The relationships among subfactors were examined and no strong relationship was found, supporting the discriminant validity of this scale. The construct reliability index and average variance extracted index indicated good reliability of the this scale. Finally, limitation of the study and practical applications were discussed.
