자폐성장애 아동 손위 형제의 갈등과 요구 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 자폐성장애 아동의 형제자매 지원 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 이루어진 연구이다. 특히 부모의 역할을 대신할 수 있는 손위 형제 3명을 직접 만나서 그들이 장애가 있는 형제자매를 어떻게 이해하고 있는지 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 대상자들에게는 면담의 목적을 설명하고 동의를 받았으며, 면담을 하는 동안 면담 내용을 녹음하였다. 그 후에 면담 내용에 대한 전사 작업을 하였고, 전사내용에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 기준은 자폐성장애를 가진 동생이 성장하면서 손위 형제 입장에서 겪었던 어려움과 요구 사항이 무엇인지를 찾는 것에 초점을 두었다. 분석 내용을 크게 3가지 주제로 범주화 하였다. 이에 따른 결과를 다음과 같이 제시한다. 첫째, 연구대상자들은 동생이 가진 상동행동, 반향어, 사회적 상호작용의 곤란, 집착행위 등의 자폐성장애로 인한 어려움으로 인한 갈등과 어려움을 이야기하였다. 특히 타인이 이해하지 못하고 놀리고 비난할 때, 손위 형제로서 더 속상했음을 나타내었다. 둘째, 연구대상자들은 동생의 교육에 대한 요구를 이야기하였다. 독립생활에 대한 요구, 통합교육 상황에서 편견 감소를 위한 체계적인 장애이해교육 실시, 동생이 졸업 이후 취업하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연구대상자들은 자신의 가족에 대한 다양한 요구를 나타내었다. 자폐성장애 동생을 양육하면서 겪은 가족들의 정서적 어려움에 대한 상담, 동생의 문제행동에 대한 상담이 필요함을 제시하였다. 이상의 결론에 따라 후속연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study is aimed at developing a support program to support siblings of children with autistic disorder. In particular, I met three senior siblings who could take the place of parents in person to interview them about how they understood their disabled siblings. The study participants explained and agreed on the purpose of the interview and recorded the interview during the interview. Afterwards, the interview was carried out in the company, and the contents of the interview were analyzed. The analysis criteria focused on finding out what the difficulties and requirements of the older siblings experienced as their younger siblings grew up with autistic disorder. The analysis was categorized into three main subjects. The results are presented as follows. First, the study participants talked about conflicts and difficulties caused by autistic disorders such as behavior, echolocation, difficulty in social interaction, and obsession. Especially when others didn t understand it and made fun of it, they were more upset as a senior brother. Second, the researchers talked about their younger brother s demands for education. It has been revealed that in the context of an independent life and an integrated education system, the education system for the reduction of prejudices has been implemented, and that a younger siblings is getting a job after graduation. Third, the subjects showed various demands for their families. They suggested the need for counseling on the emotional difficulties of families who have experienced in raising a younger autistic brother and counseling on their younger sibling’s behavior. Following the above conclusion, a proposal for further study was presented.
